Knitting in the round on Double Point Needles (DPNs); Small Circumference Knitting part 1 Sun Dragon Tips & Tricks 2025-10-02 | Our Two at a Time Toe Up Sock seminar is in full swing, so it made me think of my small circumference knitting videos, and how it might be time to remake them. First up is a video on Double Point Needles, the oldest and most traditional form of knitting in the round. This is not one used in the class, as it is more geared for one sock at a time, but is sometimes my favorite way to knit socks! This make-a-long will focus on skills and techniques, rather than everyone making the same project. Working on the yoke: increasing, stranded colorwork (ways to do stranded colorwork, methods of locking your floats if needed). Virtual September 17, 1-3 pmIII. Sleeve separation & torso knitting. Methods of dividing for sleeves and body knitting, best practices, logistics. Virtual October 1, 1-3 pmIV. Returning to the sleeves: Getting your work back on needles, starting the sleeves. Options: one at a time, setup for 2-at-a-time sleeves. Basic sleeve shaping. Virtual October 15, 1-3 pmV. Finalizations: Binding off, sewing in ends, closing holes, concepts of blocking.
