2x4s can appear to be ordinary items that are generally hid behind walls. However, we a little ingenuity and creativity the 5bf in a typical 2x4 can be transformed into toys, keepsakes, fine furniture ... the imagination is its only limit. In this video, which is my entry into the Summers Woodworking 2014 2x4 Competition, I create an Arts and Crafts-style bookstand featuring an interesting grid pattern and some Walnut stain to make it 'pop.'
