Kids guitars aren't a new thing, but if you ask me, they might be a bad thing.
I recently saw the Loog Kids Guitar collaborations with both Fender and Gibson and it got me thinking.
Kids are hardwired to imitate what they see but I think there's something deeper to it. As a kid I wanted to replicate many things I saw, but every time I did, it wasn't't truly real and I think I knew this. I grew bored of pretending and wanted something real. Guitar was that real thing.
But if I was given a kids guitar - yet another imitation of the reality I craved.
I think I would have grown bored just the same. I got a real guitar and it changed my life. If it was a kids guitar I probably wouldn't be making this video.
