In today's NTD China News, the Arctic Council has named China as one of six new observer nations, as global interest grow in the Arctic's trade potentials.

The US Consulate in Guangzhou, Guangdong province received an envelope with suspicious white powder on Monday. The substance is yet to be identified, and the Consulate suspended visa interviews until Wednesday.
