Mercury Smooth | Live Recorded Instrumental (Neural DSP Archetype: Misha Mansoor X)
"Mercury Smooth" is a new instrumental track I wrote where every track was recorded live to capture a raw, authentic feel. For this project, I wanted to step away from the complex effects and focus purely on the core amp and cabinet response of the Neural DSP Archetype: Misha Mansoor.
While this plugin is known for its experimental "Laser" and "Glitch" pedals, I stayed in the Amp and Cab section for this one. I used the:
Rhythm/Lead Amps: To find that specific "sag" and touch-sensitive response that makes a digital sim feel like a physical head.
Cab Section: I spent time fine-tuning the microphone placement and IRs to get a natural, breathable tone that fits the "live" recording style of the track.
