Applied edgings are a wonderful way to frame and finish an otherwise ragged edge. Here I am adding a 10 st wide border, the outer 3 stitches forming an i-cord edge. I experimented with a couple of different stripe options and chose in the end to add a contrasting garter bump between the blanket and the border. I show how to add this detail as you go and look at working from the right needle to the left. The link to the pattern I am using is below.
