My Appalachian Trail Journey continues. Day 3 was struggle physically and emotionally after hiking 25 miles the previous day. I come around and hike 20 miles in cool windy weather to Unicoi Gap. On Day 4, I hike into Dicks Creek Gap and plan to rest and resupply at Around the Bend Hostel. My mailed resupply box does not arrive. Due to my missing resupply and sore knees, I pivot and shuttle ahead 80 miles to my next resupply box at Stecoah Gap. On Day 5, after shuttling ahead, I decide to not stay at my hostel and hike a short distance in to camp.
