Obligatory shoutout to @sleeperGH for asking me to do this and believing I could do it when I didn't want to continue grinding :)
Alright so wow, this is a throwback. This Expert drums chart has been unFCd on Xbox 360 GH:WT since October 23, 2008. Over SEVENTEEN YEARS. So what is the problem with this chart? Well it suffers from the same Expert bug that plagues Guitar Hero 5. Anything has an Expert+ drums chart, and the extra kicks for that chart are not parsed in GH:WT as notes to be hit on Expert. But for whatever reason, the extra 300 kicks in that chart still exist in this chart as a sort of timing window black hole that interferes with the kicks that you need to play.
A good example are the double bass verses at 0:23 and 1:02. On Expert+, there would be double the amount of kicks in these sections. On Expert, these kicks are missing. But if you play any of the charted kicks too close to the timing of where the missing kicks are, you will MISS. Guaranteed. In fact, it counts as missing two notes, and you will fail out faster. I'm sure there are drummers out there who tried playing this song back in the day and kept failing out immediately in these verses. It's that bad.
But the bug doesn't just affect those verses. It affects every instance of missing double bass kicks in the ENTIRE SONG. So it also affects:
-1:23 monster fill (triple kick charted as double kick)
-2:36-2:49 all the kicks
-2:51 missing double kick, 2:52 missing triple kick
-3:08 missing kicks
-3:11 quad kicks charted as double kicks
-3:17-3:31 almost all the kicks
-3:48-4:00 all the kicks in the breakdown
-4:01 Zakk Goes Wylde fill
-4:05-4:14 a majority of these kicks
-4:32-4:39 the entire outro
So. Yeah. It's quite bad. And to make matters worse, these missing kicks are still added to the note count. So even though I FC'd, I got 83%. LMFAO. For more info on the GH5 bug which helps explain this glitch a bit more, please check out AddyMills' video here: youtu.be/w_LjbLqVzss?si=bF4fqgJpUBx5HXwl&t=637
So how did my grind go? I only spent two sessions on this. My first session lasted 3 hours, and I had a TON of chokes. Most notably I choked three times in the Zakk Goes Wylde fill at 4:01. That spot is the hardest in the chart by far, and after choking that three times I suddenly lost any consistency at the monster fill at 1:23. So I gave up. Until yesterday, when I decided to give this another look randomly. I kept missing the monster fill several times in a row, until I suddenly got a run past it... And that was it. I didn't choke. My nerves were sky high after hitting Zakk Goes Wylde, but I closed it out. I'm so relieved to see this FCd after hearing for over a decade that it was completely impossible to do on 360.
This is the Second Ever Drums FC of this on GH:WT across all platforms. This was first FC'd by a Wii drummer named SuperSonicLink1 in July 2010. Based on his video, the Scorehero scores and percentages submitted on Wii, and after reading his Scorehero accomplishment thread, I feel very confident in saying that Anything on Wii is not broken like it is here on 360. It's still a really great FC, but that's worth mentioning. Check out his FC here: youtu.be/m4_wLyj0i6M?si=hVqbNCLR7B_xfK5K
