This is a ukulele tribute to some of the music stars who crafted the soundtrack of our lives... thanks so much for the music!
Peter Yarrow - of Peter, Paul, and Mary fame. Puff the Magic Dragon was a classic song from my childhood
Roberta Flack - she had so many good songs, including "First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" and "Where is the Love"
Sly Stone - his Greatest Hits album was one of the first I ever bought
Jesse Colin Young - of the Youngbloods, he's most famous for the song, "Get Together," but I love his song "Sunlight" (Three Dog Night's version is probably the best known)
Johnny Tillotson - love his song "Dreamy Eyes," too
Lenny Welch - I only know this one song of his, but man, what a song!
Brian Wilson - of the Beach Boys... so many signature tunes... his "Don't Worry Baby" was one of my first YouTube covers back when my channel was "keonepax," but I had to go with "God Only Knows," one of the most amazing songs ever written
Lou Christie - can't try covering his song without attempting his falsetto... oh well, I tried... I also like his song, "Two Faces Have I"
Connie Francis - she had some bigger hits, but one of her lesser known songs went viral in 2025... thought it would be fun to give it a try
Chuck Mangione - I'm not a great instrumentalist, but I had to give his signature tune a shot because I love it so much!
Ozzy Osbourne - I have to admit that I didn't really know his songs, but I felt he simply had to be included in this tribute... thank you to my teaching colleague Josh for suggesting "Dreamer"
Tom Shipley - his bandmate Michael Brewer passed away in December 2024; Brewer and Shipley's "One Toke Over the Line" was one of my favorite songs from my high school days
Rick Davies - of Supertramp... more of my terrible falsetto, but I tried my best...I like their "Logical Song," too
Carl Carlton - Everlasting Love is another great song from my high school days, I like his "She's a Bad Mama Jama," too
Chris Rea - love his song, "On the Beach"... he's famous for his "Driving Home for Christmas," so it's extra sad that he passed away a few days before Christmas
