"Hollywood Ghost Stories" was an hour-long documentary produced especially for American Movie Classics' 1998 iteration of MonsterFest: "House of Horrors" —you remember, the one with Tim Burton. William Shatner's spooky narration guided viewers through Hollywood's most infamous, erm, _haunts._ I don't think the full documentary was ever broadcast in subsequent MonsterFests, but it certainly was recycled for filler between movies. In fact, I don't think I ever saw the original broadcast version, only in this ersatz digest format.

Such is the source of this clip, about the ghostly goings-on at the famed Comedy Store, originally the happenin' night club Ciro's. Incidentally, the tune at the conclusion of the segment is "You'll Never Know" (Warren/Gordon), a fitting choice for a supernatural subject.

Originally recorded October 31, 1999 after 6:35 AM EST on EP-mode VHS; transferred in 2010 on a Panasonic DMR-EZ37V.
