After the disaster of Part 1, it's time to see if my Timex Sinclair 1000 can be saved.
In this episode, I install a composite video modification with back porch support, one of the most popular upgrades for the TS1000. The goal is simple: replace the original RF output with a clean composite video signal that modern displays can actually use.
Of course, things don't go quite as planned.
What should have been a straightforward installation turns into a lengthy troubleshooting session as I attempt to track down why the mod doesn't appear to be working. Along the way, we take a closer look at the hardware, the installation process, and what the back porch modification actually does for the TS1000's video output.
Will the modification work, or did I somehow manage to make an even bigger mess of things?
