Rattlesnake idahoadventurer 2013-07-13 | This is from awhile ago when I first moved to Idaho. I had gone on a road trip with a friend from work and we ran across a rattlesnake in the road. I video taped it as I had just taken Teagan through rattlesnake avoidance training and wanted to see what she did when she heard it. It wouldn't really move so I, ummm, got a stick and moved it. Maybe not the most brilliant idea... but all ended well :)

Rt. 95 North of Riggins, ID idahoadventurer 2013-06-19 | On my way home from the Idaho Panhandle, I really like the Riggins area. The Salmon River is on the right-hand side. This is Rt. 95 going south towards Riggins after White Bird Pass.
Palouse Falls idahoadventurer 2013-06-19 | Palouse Falls, WA - in the middle of no where, but what a great place! I found this area peaceful and calming. The road going up to it is nice too. had a nice little campground in which I had a great spot. I could hear the falls from my tent. It's first come, first served with no reservations and is $12 per night (as of June 15, 2013). There is an upper falls that you can see as well.
Devils Churn - Cape Perpetua idahoadventurer 2013-06-08 | **You may want to turn your volume down**It was VERY windy here and the video is loud because of it. This was in the Cape Perpetua area near Yachats, OR along Rt. 101 (Oregon Coast). This is called Devil's Churn. I'd hate to fall in here - very rough. Stream to Giant Spruce idahoadventurer 2013-06-08 | This was a stream on the hike to the Giant Spruce back in the Cape Perpetua area (near Yachats, OR) along Rt. 101 (Oregon Coast). It was soothing and a nice setting so I took video of just the stream and the sounds to watch. Sea Lion Cave (Inside) idahoadventurer 2013-06-08 | I debated on this (is $14) but decided to do it since I wasn't sure if I would ever be back there and I am glad I did. It's just a cool cave and you take like a 200 ft elevator down to it. Weren't too many in the cave that day, but a lot outside (another video). This was a beautiful area.
Heceta Head Lighthouse State Scenic Viewpoint idahoadventurer 2013-06-08 | This was yet another great area on this day. This was between Yachats and Florence along Rt. 101 (south of Cape Perpetua area). Really enjoyed this area as well. It sits below Rt. 101 in a little cove and it also has a lighthouse. Cape Perpetua - Cooks Chasm idahoadventurer 2013-06-08 | This was day #2 and south of where I was staying. This was south of Yachats on Rt. 101 and a beautiful part of the coast! This area is probably my favorite so far. The road and coast line is fantastic along here. This area is really nice too. Thor's Well is here but I was there 2 hrs after high tide and high tide was only 7 foot so it wasn't impressive as you see in other videos and pictures. It was great watching the water come into these 'crevices' and hear the thundering boom, which unfortunately, you don't hear in the video.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cape_Perpetua
Cape Foulweather idahoadventurer 2013-06-08 | On the way back from Pacific City to Newport, I took a little 4 mile or so side trip off Rt. 101. It was called the Otter Crest Loop and it is one way - South. It is a narrow windy road that is one way and goes right along the coast and at the end is Cape Foulweather lookout. It's very cool. It was really nice out. In the video, in the center near the end is Devils Punch Bowl (another video) and then just beyond that is where I stayed - Beverly Beach State Park. Cape Kiwanda State Park idahoadventurer 2013-06-08 | This was also in Pacific City, OR just up the road from Bob Straub State Park. You can get to this from the parking lot of The Pelican Pub and Brewery. However, the lot was so full so I drove down the road a little bit and turned left on an unmarked little road and parked there. Come to find out, I could have driven right onto the beach! Bob Straub State Park idahoadventurer 2013-06-08 | This was an unpopulated state park in Pacific City, OR. I drove north from Newport about an hour to here. There are two state parks close to one another here. There is a 'haystack' rock here - a larger one than the more popular one in Cannon Beach (further north).
