Description
Joined to on-premises AD and simultaneously registered to Entra ID.
Requires on-prem synced account to sign-in to the device.
Suitable for organizations with existing on-premises AD infrastructure.
Applicable to all users in an organization.
Corporate.
Windows 10, 11.
Windows Server 2016, 2019 and 2025.

Requires Domain join first - Registers to Entra via Entra ID Connect or ADFS WS-
Federation config.
For Windows Autopilot, there's the requirement of ODJ connector purpose of requesting
ODJ blob for domain join.

Group Policy.
Microsoft Intune.
Configuration Manager Standalone or Co-management with Microsoft Intune.
SSO to both cloud and on-premises resources.
Conditional Access capable.
Self-service Password Reset and Windows Hello PIN reset on lock screen.
Enterprise State Roaming across devices.
