Considering the amount of heat that it takes to remove all the moisture from an acorn, all that extra heat that your getting from burning it's oils and biomass does not provide any extra BTUs overall. But, if you already have dried out acorns from nature or that you've been setting by previous fires, they should provide quite a boost to getting any fire burning intensely.
This has been a nutty sort of a day. Not only was there this experiment, but on my way to the walking trail I found a vacant lot with a pecan tree and the ground covered in pecans. I cracked some open in this video and got to enjoy them. LOL!
