I noticed that Ms. Vee's version was ~0.5BPM faster than the original, which made others' attempts to layer her audio with the video slowly get off-sync. The song has been very slightly slowed down in order to match the tempo of the original video. (DJ skills _do_ come in handy sometimes!) This song hit very close to home when I listened to it last night. The lyrics are about Hikikomori/NEET depression, which is sort of what I've sunk into recently. This is also a hint at what my next game is. I am currently working on a Touhou-like shooter. Eureka Seven AMV - Satellite (Rise Against) [1080p HD] snobaste⚡ 2011-04-07 | Download: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=NIU7EHGH I was a little daunted going into Eureka Seven, what with it being the longest anime I've watched to date (I don't normally watch anything over 26 episodes in length). However, after the first few episodes I was completely hooked. Most of the mecha I've watched (with the exception of Full Metal Panic!) have been quite dry and just action and more action. Eureka had an engrossing storyline, well-rounded characters, and a lot of good romance that kept me hooked all the way until the last episode. Rise Against's new album, Endgame came out a few weeks ago and I've had it playing on loop since then, and, nearing the end of watching Eureka, I listened to Satellite (definitely the best song on the album) and it hit me: I have to make an Eureka AMV to this song. Satellite was the perfect song choice. It describes breaking away from your superiors who are forcing you to make the wrong decisions (Holland and Eureka breaking from the military to form the Gekkostate, or Dominic trying to save Anemone from being destroyed and replaced). The lyrics also fit amazingly well for things like "I passing over you like a satellite, so catch me if I fall.", which perfectly fit the mecha theme. Also, the song is so fast-paced and awesome (for epic mecha battles), but also has a very low-tempo bridge (perfect for my favorite scene in the show between Dominic and Anemone). This was also a perfect chance to relieve myself of writer's block. Working on Sorrowsong has been harder and harder to do as of late and I needed to take a break, and this AMV gave me the perfect excuse to take one. I hope you enjoy! Epic Sorrowsong Bug #1 - Super Fast Level Changing snobaste⚡ 2011-01-20 | DISCLAIMER: Keep in mind that this is a test level, in no way representative of the final product. Many UI/Gameplay Elements are yet to be finalized. This level itself is merely a quick test of a new feature. The graphics/attacks will be entirely different in the actual game. As the release of my newest game, Sorrowsong, comes ever closer, I've decided to start releasing a few teaser videos of various sections of progress of the game. This first video is my testing with fast level changing during the final boss fight (akin to Blazer and Arthas' battle in Tales of the Past 3). However, the timers are a little bit off (as you can see) and the levels change at an extremely fast pace. The song used in the video is Braveheart (Joey Riot Remix) by Frantic & Gammer. I though a super-high tempo happy hardcore track would be perfect for the ridiculous speed of the level changes.

I actually have had this AMV idea in my head for a while, but I've only now managed to have enough time (and a fresh rewatching of Kanon) to make it. I needed a perfect song to fit Shiori and Sorrow fits her story so well. It fits the immense pain of knowing that you're going to perish soon, it fits the lies that you tell others in such a situation, it fits Kaori's decision to ignore her sister in order to dampen the pain and suffering of losing a loved one, and it fits Yuuichi, who manages to be both of the girls' savior. Shiori's arc itself never really hit me emotionally until I went through nearly the same situation as Yuuichi, and I wanted to do that feeling justice. I experimented with a few new editing techniques for this video and I hope that you guys like it. This video is dedicated to the people who are in a constant state of suffering, who think that the world is against them and that no one is there to help them. Everyone has a Yuuichi: someone who will forsake his own suffering in order to be there to help. Appreciate people like that while you can. The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya AMV - With Me (Sum 41) [1080p HD] snobaste⚡ 2010-12-27 | Download: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ZOEEEJOA Watching the eye-cancer inducing cam-rip of TDoHS back in April, despite the horrible quality, made me forgive Kyoani for the debacle that was Endless Eight, with The Disappearance being my favorite novel in the series, and their adaptation of it being absolutely flawless. I knew that when the Blu-ray was finally released I had to do an AMV with it. The song, With Me by Sum 41 not only has a lot of personal history for me (very long story), but also fits quite nicely with Kyon realizing that even though the days spent with Haruhi and the SOS brigade are a pain, they are his life and he loves it. The song also expresses Yuki's confused feelings and thoughts, which lead to the crisis. A lot of video effects were used due to the fact that throughout the film, the animators set a visual theme for each part of the plot (with varying color schemes for the real world, the Haruhi-less world, Kyon's mind, etc.). I wanted to enhance that same effect and play with it a lot to express the overall feelings of the AMV. Hope you guys enjoy! The song obviously plays a huge part in this AMV, focusing on Sousuke's empty apartment near the end of The Second Raid and the resulting emergence of feelings caused by the forcible removal of Sousuke from Kaname. I love Sousuke's and Kaname's relationship so much! This AMV is dedicated to that, and also the lack of sleep on the night I watched the episode "Edge Of Heaven" and just had to finish the rest of TSR. However, I have only now gotten around to creating it.When I watched the end of the first episode of Mnemosyne, the "Rin Speech" as I like to call it, I wanted to create a short machinima based off of the scene.This is almost a shot-for-shot replica of the original, except for the very ending.The dialog is from Rin ~Daughters of Mnemosyne~ and the overdubbed music is Leave Out All the Rest by Linkin Park (a string quartet cover and the original song).This video is merely a proof-of-concept test and I am uploading merely to show a little something that I have done :)

Blackfyre is my first, big, mass-released game. It follows the story of a talented wizard who has had his memory of the arcane arts erased by the malevolent queen of his land. In order to toy with him, the queen pits him against a series of enemies. With no recollection of magic and only equipped with the simplest of spells, can you make it through the gauntlet and kill the queen who has toyed with your life? Blackfyre is a hybrid RPG/Fighter. It takes common, turn based systems from games such as Final Fantasy and blends them with elements from fighting games such as Tekken, Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. As you progress through the levels, you regain your knowledge of magic, increasing your arsenal and preparing you for the challenge ahead. The game was programmed entirely by me in C++ with the help of the SDL (http://www.libsdl.org) library. I hope for a release date as early as April 6th, but I can't make any promises. "It'll be done when it's done." Sorry for the rambling intro. I've never been able to articulate well in front of a camera :/ And sorry the the video was recorded entirely with my Flip. I cannot use FRAPS seeing as the game is programmed in DirectDraw (not D3D or OpenGL), and all the screen recorders I have tried hate me (which, considering my hardware, is ridiculous).

I felt an impulse to make another movie. Not much to say... White Dreamscape features areas from Wrath of the Lich King. I've seen videos of the areas already, but they've all been really fast fly-throughs of all the areas with no real look at the scenic part of the expansion. There are also some new model changes, some old ones, and some unreleased ones that got cut from my other videos. As always, this movie is a tribute the Dopefish and Nogg-aholic, who inspired me to explore, model change, and make movies.

However, this movie is quite unlike the last one. I show a lot less of the actual model changes, but instead tell a story using them. All of my movies have lacked a real plot, and I decided to remedy that with this video.Again, this still showcases many model changes, and a whole new zone: Hinamizawa. The Hinamizawa zone is based roughly off of the village in the anime Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (literally translates to 'When the Cicadas Cry') . Much inspiration for the general feel of the movie came from the anime. Chaotic, bloody, and very, very enigmatic. But please, do not downrate just because you don't like anime. I also drew some inspiration for a zone from Bioshock. I managed to replicate the intro area from it in WoW.As always, a special thanks to Verlynne, who inspired me to make movies. Kirei na Sakura no Mori (Remake) snobaste⚡ 2007-04-15 | You'll have to excuse the semi-longer wait for this one. I finished my seventh movie last week, but just before I released it, I scrapped it. I screwed it up horribly and sought to remake it. This is the remake, and I must say, my favorite video so far. (so this is really my eighth video, my seventh being unreleased) Over spring break I watched the absolutely amazing animé series "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" (Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu) (which has now become my all time favorite animé and series), and was struck with the amazing song "God Knows..." played in episode 12. I'm not normally a fan of j-pop, but this song rocks amazingly hard. Right when I watched the sequence where Haruhi plays the song, I knew I had to do a video to it. So when I failed my seventh video, I knew exactly what to do for this one. The chorus was the thing that really got me: And so... I'm gonna follow you through No matter the pain Through the darkness of this world if I must 'Cause you'll be there to shine the way Past the end of the future Won't let weakness break down my soul My way I'll bring it all together now God bless the two of us. This change is also, by FAR, by favorite change. It is Elwynn again, only because The Breaking of Spring in Elwynn didn't do the zone justice at all. This is the other side of spring in Elwynn (with Sakura trees! :) ). Now, unlike my other videos, this one is ALL ABOUT the editing! I hope my skills have advanced so far as to make this one very enjoyable. If you are wondering about the name 'Kirei na Sakura no Mori' it literally means 'Pretty cherry tree forest'. Twilight Town snobaste⚡ 2007-03-19 | Well, I've been on a little hiatus the past few weeks because I got so hooked into the "Kingdom Hearts" games. Yeah, I know they are pretty kid-ish, but they rule! I mean, Square Enix totally pwns! I got the idea for this video from the game. They are always talking about the realm of darkness, but you never actually go there in the game, which left me to wonder what it would look like. And thus, I got the idea to make it myself, and here it is! The Song is "The Other Side" by Paul van Dyk. In my opinion this is the BEST trance song ever. And it is perfect for this video! This is the only time I didn't have to search my library for hours trying to find a song because it just fits. Again, this is not to show and omgpwnage editing skills, it's to show the model change itself. Again, this vid is dedicated to Verl, who leads me out of those dark places in my life. Dun Tropica snobaste⚡ 2007-02-25 | It's been unseasonably cold here lately. Every morning I dread getting out of my nice, warm bed... and I bet almost everyone else feels that same way. So I had the idea to make someplace that was way too cold into a nice tropical zone! In my opinion, it's definitely my favorite change... I'm leaving these files in for a long time, Dun Morogh = Tropical paradise! Although, to be honest, it isn't as good as Darnassus Through the Glass, due to less of a story, but thats my opinion... see what you think! The song is Don't Stop by ATB, which I thought really fit a tropical setting with it's exotic sounding synths. Again, this is not to show off any amazing editing, although my skills are still growing... it is to show the model change itself. And yes, Dopefish, I'm slacking :P
Darnassus Through the Glass snobaste⚡ 2007-02-11 | Well, because I haven't yet, and because I've been feeling a little strange recently, I have made a darker video. I decided to do it a lot differently from my others, and I hope that it is in a good way and that you will like it. I always admired Darnassus, and was kinda sad when I destroyed it for this vid. But, as you will see, it was for good reason and it really helps tell the story. As always, this video is dedicated to Verl. I hope that this video will help you understand me a little better. And, although I know that we can only just be friends, I hope that you will understand that you are the best, and that I doubt that I will ever know anyone quite as awesome as you. The Hillsbrad Dream snobaste⚡ 2007-01-31 | With my first 2 videos, I focused on some more plausible ideas: Ingame Seasons, and past zones. This video I decided to do something different: What if the Emerald Dream was regularly accessible in Azeroth. I did this, and made it a lot more interesting. I always loved the look of the emerald dream, and was able to see it first hand with instance switching (a model changing technique), and now you'll be able to see a compact and even more amazing looking Emerald Dream. The song in the video is It's A fine Day (ATB Remix) by Miss Jane. Once again, this video is not to showcase amazing editing or effects, it's focus is on the model change itself. Although my editing skills are growing, there's still a lot I have to learn.
Remembering Westwood snobaste⚡ 2007-01-22 | I've always thought model changing and exploration vids should be about the "What if's?". In my first vid, The Breaking of Spring in Elwynn, it was "What if there were ingame seasons?". This one is "What if we could see Westfall before the great drought?" Ever since November 2004, in the open beta, when I first stepped into Westfall, I thought it was an amazing looking zone. And later, when I learned the history of Westfall, I thought it would look even more amazing as it did before it became barren. And finally you and I get to see that. The song is Remember by BT, edited and cut down by my brother because I'm not too good with keeping a beat :/. And he also made a very special texture change for me :)... Again, this video isn't about fancy editing or effects, it is about the model change and how different Westfall looks.
The Breaking of Spring in Elwynn snobaste⚡ 2007-01-15 | After trying and failing twice at an exploration video, I decided the world has seen enough of CoT, Hyjal, and the works; and how could I have done the mighty Dopefish justice? I decided to take a new approach to things, a side of the underground most of us have not seen... model changing. I know, I know... "MC WAS NERFED NOOOOOOOB"... but, that's on recent servers ;).. yes this is an emu; but the same thing was doable before 2.0.3. The only reason I used an emu is so I wouldn't have to use the hack to get real MC in 2.0.3. This is a tribute to Dopefish and the Nogg-Aholic community that was laid to rest on January 7, 2007. Dopefish, you were my inspiration at becoming an explorer, with the best 45 minutes and 22 seconds of video I will ever see. I would like to release many more music videos with more complex and amazing model changes, and I definitely will if the community wants it :D. The song in the video is Another Way by Paul van Dyk. I did not use any super editing on the video because that is not where the focus is. It is in the scenery and environment.
