Join me, Glen, a private pilot and occasional YouTube cook, as I embark on an epic cross-country flight in my resto-modded 1961 Cessna 172B. In Part 5 of our series, I make the tough decision to abandon the Hope Air Expedition and fly west to dodge impending storms and low visibility.
We start our journey from Moncton Airport on a foggy Wednesday morning, facing low IFR conditions that are just about to clear. Watch as I navigate the challenges of weather, discuss the strategic split of our group of 16 aircraft, and head towards Oshawa to wait out the storm. This leg of the journey takes us from Moncton to Sherbrooke, Quebec, where I refuel and perform a critical weather briefing.
