Because the in-depth study of YSOs from a variable star viewpoint in general is comparatively recent (compared, say, with Miras), there still remains a deal of confusion about how to typify them. Historically, they were divided into discrete types, and some of this still prevails. This can cause some confusion, so this webinar will seek (hope!) to dispel some of this confusion, with a look at a type study as well. He thinks rather than talk about different types of stars, we should instead talk about different types of behavior.
