She had to learn where to place her paws, how much of her weight is appropriate to place on me, etc... A 75pnd lab putting their paw on your face isn't a pleasant experience. Since I have type 1 narcolepsy, I use verbal and non-verbal cues in case I'm not able to speak clearly.

The point though is to have the conversation. :) There are increasing numbers of Evangelical Christians being Orthodox Christian or Catholic. Whether we're religious or not, we should be take the time to understand what our philosophy of life is and how it is influenced by the various philosophies that run through our culture.

From time to time I'll upload one of these vids that is no longer available. The thoughts in this video do not entirely reflect my thoughts as they are now.3.28.2007--Dear James, Thank you for your kind words. I've found in Christianity a love that I didn't know before. You know it seems somewhat absurd a story of the God of the universe coming down in the form of a man just to show us the way and restore our relationship back to Himself and yet for all the difficulties the Bible presents there is no story so compelling to myself than the one found within its pages. Atheism-a lack of belief in a God, the supernatural, etc... is the only truth atheism claims...this truth much like my belief in a God, to most, is unprovable. As such I find no compelling reason to be an atheist. I've interpreted my human experience in such a way that the existence of God/Supernatural is a justified true belief. Could my interpretation of my human experience be incorrect...could it have been just an illusion, a dream, hallucination, some chemical in my brain...possibly so and if such is true then what a cruel thing evolution has done...to bring me experiences that cry out to believe in something more, to give me a mind that restlessly wonders how and why; and for what...nothing. In this way wouldnt the life of an animal be more preferable than the one we have now. But of course evolution...time...doesnt care, cruelty means nothing to billions of years of chance and evolution. So do I stay with the interpretation of my experiences that seem most easy to believe or do I fight them, ignore them and believe that they are simply a delusion, a gene and something to be dismissed. What's fascinating is that in believing there is a God, I also find an answer (possibly a man-made answer) to the questions regarding who this God may be. In these answers I find something that comforts my soul and brings peace to my mind. Is it just a man-made story, the Omnipresent taking on a finite body, the All-Powerful being mocked by His creation and crucified, all this just to show His love, to bring His creation the peace they long for, possibly so. I gather there are many possibilities in this life we live. Should I abandon hope, which may be a lie, to place faith in time, chance, and evolution as reasons for the delusion that I suffer from? Why must I fight so hard against my human nature all because evolution decided for this to be so. But of course evolution decided nothing, it is nothing...just time and chance.
