Hackaday Supercon 2018 davedarko 2018-11-20 | Hey, greetings from Pennsylvania, America! I've been to the hackaday supercon in LA and let me tell you - it was awesome! We got a good amount of swag - a badge from adafruit, sparkfun and of course the main badge to hack on. There were stickers, a fancy aluminum bottle (yes, it even reads aluminum instead of aluminium) and a shirt in that swag bag, too! I've seen my youtube / hackaday heroes meet and even work together on things, had conversations with them and even made a cool selfie with Scotty from strangeparts! Even gave us a headphone pcb! The first day I was lucky enough to enter the SMD challenge and finished up handsoldering it down to 0201 parts! I might have been an accomplice in cat napping :D Hackaday presented some badges and shitty addons in the hallway that led to the "hacking ville", where workshops where held. This is where I got my FPGA board and a nice introduction on how stuff works. Tindie had a little show and tell where Sarah Petkus later presented her "she bon". Checkout Carl Bujegas talk about his PCB motors and Alex Glows owl talk, I really enjoyed those!----I was also able to talk with Erin Robot Girl about her beach cleaning robots.
