I TRIED BRAVISSIMO SWIMSUITS BY MY BRA SIZE Lexi Ladonna 2021-07-20 | I've always had trouble finding swimsuits that fit me right so I tried a bunch of swimsuits from the website Bravissimo, which is a website aimed at women with larger breasts and the swimsuits are sold by cup size and not dress size.For reference I mention I am a 34E, that's UK sizes and not US sizes. The US equivalent would be 34DDD or 34F. If you are someone who has problems fitting a larger bust I highly recommend the reddit r/ABraThatFits and becoming familiar with UK sizes and bra companies, as they are generally considered by most to be both more consistent and inclusive in their sizing than US companies. I have a lot to say about it, but when DON'T I have a lot to say about anything?If you've been following along on my fashion journey you'll know that this isn't my first time buying an article of clothing; I've bought a couple things since the beginning of the year as they came my way. I decided to buy/keep a clothing rental item, I ordered some underthings online (which mostly didn't fit, not to my surprise), and I bought a vintage 70s piece while casually browsing some local little shops with my fiancé. But those were what i consider "purchases of opportunity" and tbh 2/3 were mistakes because I was not yet at a point where I could make sound purchasing decisions (I mean I still can't, but Im trying). All that being the case, this was my first time venturing out solo to brave the fitting rooms of big bad retail world in search of multiple pieces to try to rebuild my sparse wardrobe on a real life, actual shopping tripOn me:Eyes: Kaleidos Club Nebula paletteEyelashes: Colourpop Oh Deer! x Bambi colas lashesCheeks: Tarte paaarty & Benefit Dallaslips: romand Glasting Water Tint in Vintage OceanI would also like to add that I'm aware that many people might not share my point of view on value and worth of clothing, and that's okay. I hope that no one takes from this that I think one method of buying or one type of budget is better that any other. I just know for ME this is the right path; to buy fewer items of higher quality that will last me a long period of time. Some people don't feel comfortable taking so much of a risk with one item that could be damaged and would rather buy more pieces at lower price points and that's okay too. I do hate that it seems high quality is at such steep price as I found in the last couple weeks, but even before the pandemic I had noticed a steep decline in quality from (what I had thought to be) formerly very good brands such as JCrew and other accessible stores like that from when I was a student 15 years ago to now. I spent years thinking these brands were actually of the quality they always seemed to profess and market themselves to be, only to be disappointed in both fit/design and longevity of the garments over time periods as short as a year or two.I know that to many it seems like I'm spending a lot right now because I'm pretty much starting from scratch, especially considering that many may find cheaper brands to be acceptable quality. All I can say is I do not feel the same and I find their design and fit to be poor for MY body and I am looking for something better. I will add, however, that this will not be my spending pattern in the future because I value my financial health and will not exceed the money I have budgeted and saved for clothes over the course of 2020 and 2021 and I encourage everyone to put their longterm financial health as their number one priority and budget for fun things like fashionable clothes.
