Good Luck CairoIn this video I'll be showing you how to create recorded animations in Halo CE. The initial process and setup can be confusing, but once everything is where it should be you can create some pretty awesome stuff. If you have any questions or issues please comment below and I'll do my best to help!
What to do (a rough guide, refer to video for clearer instruction): 1. Install Halo Custom Edition, the 1.09 patch and the Halo Editing Kit 2. Rename 'Strings.dll' in the Halo Custom Edition directory to 'Strings_org.dll' and then copy 'Recorded Anim Editor.exe' and 'Strings.dll' from the .zip to the Halo Custom Edition directory 4. Copy 'hac2_loader.dll' to Halo Custom Edition/controls folder 5. Open MEK_Updater.exe and click update, then close and open Refinery.exe, then close and reopen MEK_Updater.exe and click update 6. Open 'six-shooter.exe' and direct Invader to its own directory, Custom Editions 'maps' folder and a folder called tags on your desktop 7. Add '-console -devmode -window' to Halo Custom Edition's shortcut target line 8. Open Halo CE and setup controls and video settings to your liking but ensure framerate is set to ' 30 FPS' 9. Extract data from the .map file you downloaded with Refinery and tags with Invader 10. Rename 'data' and 'tags' folders in Halo CE's directory to use as a backup 11. Copy the tags you extracted to Halo CE's directory 12. Copy files from the fresh install tags folder to the new tags folder 13. Open 'pelican.vehicle' and 'c_dropship.vehicle' in the tags folder with Guerilla and rename the driver seat label to 'W-driver' 14. In 'c_dropship.vehicle' clear the 'built-in gunner' field in the 'gunseat' seat and add the 'airplane_large_loose.camera_track' camera track to the driver seat 15. Add the below text to the level script: (script startup vehicle_enterable
) 16. Open the level in Sapien and add a Pelican/Spirit and name them the same as in the above script 17. Compile the level in tool using the command 'tool build-cache-file levels\b30\b30' 18. Load the level in Halo CE using 'map_name b30' in the console 19. The first key you press in game will be set to the record key then record you animation 20. Refer to the video to script the recorded animation
