Unedited run out on a Sunday Morning. advancedbiker 2022-05-08 | Not been out for a very long time so used the Sena Prism for the camera, but shakey.Rider contacted me as he was having issues with bends and on occasions braking hard as he misread them completely.A quick chat before we commenced the ride, he does not have comms so we decided to focus on:More observation in depth, not just looking at the bend, where does the road go after.Slow in, contact throttle response with any speed deviation through the throttle.Look for that exit and on to the next one.Riding the BMW as a twin and using the TORQUE more.Result a more confident rider who now knows what he has to work on.

So take two Sena 20s's, give each one a shake, the blue indicator light turns to a flashing green on both units, press the silver button - Connected. As easy as that.Next switch the Sena Audio Back pack on that is connected to the GoPro Hero 4, wait for voice confirmation and we are ready to roll.Just need to switch the camera on....The rider in front on the Suzuki is doing all the commentary and you occasionally advancedbiker.Interesting - With Alerts switched on the Sat Nav, it overrides the bluetooth so no communication can be made. Not ideal for this situation, so switched it off - Worked....Compared to Autocom - No wires and no delay with audio...

Getting away from that centre white line......... advancedbiker 2017-05-17 | This is an issue which happens with a lot of riders - They want to take the straightest line through the bend, which often means it takes them too close to the centre white line...... and the need to lean the motorcycle upright more.Why not take a wider line, getting your view first and then if applicable go for the straight line !With the rider given a Sena 10s, we have two way communication and his positioning improves only after a few hours....There is better forward planning - observation - positioning.He is in CONTROL

With his permission here is a collection trying to illustrate before and after.He had a tendency to start the overtake too early, instead of getting a GOOD view first, before committing........RULES FOR OVERTAKINGJudgements must be made in which experience plays a great part and must include an assessment of the speed of vehicles concerned and distances involved, such as :1. Speed of vehicles to be overtaken.2. Speed and performance of own machine.3. Speed of approaching vehicle(s) in view.4. Possible high speed of vehicles as yet unseen5. Distance available to overtake and regain near-side relative to 1 to 4 above.PLANNING FOR OVERTAKING1. Never cause the overtaken or approaching vehicle to alter course or speed.2. Avoid making a third line of vehicles abreast, either travelling in the same or opposite direction.3. Always be able to move back into the near-side in plenty of time.THE SAFE MAXIM IS * IF IN ANY DOUBT HOLD BACK *
