If you've ever had a physical 1541 disk drive plugged in alongside an Ultimate cartridge or board or Ultimate computer, you know the struggle: even when the external drive is powered off, it can still hijack the bus and mess up your Drive 8 assignments! Unplugging cables every time is a hassle, so my buddy Brett from the Vintage Computer Festival came up with a brilliant, elegant hardware fix.
