Exxos forum user dad664npc has designed a built an new SD-card based Atari ST hard disc emulator using a Raspberry Pi Pico. It was released open source but public development ceased in January 2021 to take it commerical.

I'd already started work on a board for this project based on the firmware as published in December 2022. My fork is here:- github.com/dh219/ST_HD_Emulator
In January my wife gave birth to a very healthy baby girl and I've found my development time somewhat curtailed! So here, six months later, is my attempt to bring up my board. Well, part one of it anyway.
BTW, I don't think I mentioned it. The IDC header on the board is to allow the use of an Ultrasatan-compatible ACSI to IDC cable instead of the DB25 plug.

Introducing the B-Roll series.
Ive not a lot of time of late to work on any projects and to produce videos, so to keep in touch Ive started a new series of non-narrative videos that Im going to call B-Roll.
This is the sort of thing larger channels would have a second channel for. Less edited, less produced, probably no conclusion. More behind-the-scenes, stream of conciousness type output to show what Im working on and how without necessarily telling a story.
Feel free to go big on the thumbs down if this is not something you want more of, else expect more of these than main videos for the time being.

Today Im trying to work out whats wrong with my DSTB1. Im working on a new SDRAM driver in the firmware and getting nowhere. I then realise my booster seems to be unpredictably unreliable in release configuration having worked beautifully in the past.
What gives?
