The event also saw Markzware, a pioneer in desktop publishing file conversion, showcasing its new SaaS (beta) platform and APIs. The keynote speakers of printing industry experts from around the world included Pat McGrew, Dave Zwang, and the AI king of print, Bernd Zipper. Yes, artificial intelligence was also discussed.
Atomyx, the brainchild of Four Pees co-founders, David van Driessche and Tom Peire, is set to redefine the dynamics of print production management. The platform is an amalgamation of cutting-edge technology, "views" (dashboards) and intuitive design, providing an end-to-end solution for printers. With a specialization in reading various print and DTP file formats, Markzware highlighted its new SaaS (beta) platform and APIs for desktop publishing file conversion, reporting, and preflighting for print. The formats supported by Markzware include PDF, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and QuarkXPress, among others.
The uniqueness of Markzware's standalone engine is that it requires no additional applications to function. Once a file is processed, it generates a native preview and provides file conversion to other formats or a comprehensive preflight report. This functionality will soon be enhanced with the addition of reporting capabilities.
