Mara’s life revolves around caring for her son Abraham, a 20-year-old living with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, microtia, and autism. As his condition progresses, he relies on her for everything—day and night. Through long days, sleepless nights, and a lot of fear and uncertainty, Mara continues to show up with unwavering strength, love, and devotion.

Despite needing constant care, Abraham is often the one bringing smiles to those around him. He is joyful, playful, and full of light—quick to dance, share his favorite music, and ask others how they’re doing. His spirit gives strength to his mother, even in the hardest moments.

Together, their bond is unbreakable—a powerful reminder of resilience, devotion, and the love that carries them through each day.

This is their story.
