So, today we are out and about walking in the village and civil parish of Bishopstone which is located in the Borough of Swindon in Wiltshire but also very close to the Oxfordshire border. The village also includes the little village of Hinton Parva, this has been the case since 1934. Both villages have Grade I listed churches. The Bishopstone church is dedicated to St. Mary and is of 12th century origins. The village local pub is the Royal Oak. At the last census the village had a population of 678.
