If you were making a light gun game, surely you would want it to have a light gun?
As a massive fan of light gun games, I was incredibly excited when Forever Entertainment announced a remake of The House of the Dead. I was also curious as to how they would provide a modern light gun experience. Maybe they would partner with the Gun4IR or Sinden projects to bring modern light guns to the general public and spark an overnight revival of the genre?
Well, the House of the Dead Remake is out and, spoiler alert, there is no light gun. Is that a deal breaker, or is the underlying game still such a fun and amazing classic that you can buy and enjoy it without a light gun? How do the gyro controls hold up? How faithful is this remake? I answer all of these questions as I look at the revival of HotD!
