In this video, we look at synaptic transmission across a cholinergic synapse. First we explore the structure of synapses, including the roles of calcium ion channels and the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. We then explore the events that take place when a synapse is triggered including the role of the enzyme acetylcholinesterase.
