About this video: With the Jeffrey Epstein case one of the most controversial scandals in recent years, and now the new list that show Prince Andrew, Steven Hawking, Bill Clinton and Donald Trump are also implicated - I’ve seen a resurgence of debates around whether the abuse was bad enough/serious enough, qualifies for mention. People ranking the experiences and minimising and trivialising them. I see this constantly, things that clearly amounted to s*xual violence are minimised by terms like ‘’just bad s*x’’ misunderstanding, ‘grey area’’. People say This doesn’t really count, but …” or: “I wasn’t r@ped, but …” then proceed to tell me things that absolutely were rape. No matter where I go, or how horrendous the experience, people never seemed to think it was that bad. ‘abuse ranking’ is r@pe apologia. It normalises and trivialises the harm and invalidates victims. It makes us believe some acts are tolerable, and, further, that if a survivor of the "not as bad" sort of violence, they’re making a mountain out of a molehill. ‘’not that bad’’ is a chore pillar of r@pe culture.

We arrive carrying a bundle of unique talents, passions, gifts to offer to the community. Musicians must make music, artists must paint, poets must write. What we have been given, we must give away. Never reject your gifts. Dip your tongue into your soul and find your gift. Labour in service of your gift. Reclaim the gift economy. What is your gift? How to find your gift? How to find your passion? How to find your talents? What liberatory potential is there in reclaiming gifts? How to liberate our gifts? What is my destiny? What is my calling? What does spirit ask of me?

Time management promises to save time, stop wasting your life, make you as efficient and productive as possible, make you less lazy, optimise your time and your life, and promises that you can have it all. But time management is a myth wasting your time, time management is a scam, time management is ruining your life and it backfires and makes you lazy, makes you lose time, makes you unhappy and ruins your relationship to time.

This video is about some of the challenges I and other women face on this platform; the ways I see the patri@rchy planted within the people and community of Breadtube; and how we can begin to recognise and eradicate the seeds of oppression within ourselves and our movements. Whilst a lot of what I say can be universalised to leftist movements in general, I’m focusing specifically on the far-left side of Breadtube because I think this is one of the most important platforms for the sharing of radical, subversive thought that would otherwise in mainstream media be censored and shut-down. What we do here is incredibly important and failing to address the patri@rchy on the left could have fatal consequences for our movements.

In this video I discuss why no one wants to work anymore, why work sucks, why people are quiet quitting, the reason behind the great resignation, the rise of pointless meaningless, bull jobs, the reason for inflation and job loss, unemployment rates, the myths around job quitting, why people are striking and leaving their jobs, why people are unionising. Surely the efficient economy and finance would make the ones not working quit that are contributing nothing, punishing the companies that bear their salary expenses while rewarding the more efficient organizations that do without them… right? And then I discuss why we do dream of labour, why we do want to work and what an alternative workplace and work structure would look like.

Make bad art. We are all creative. We are all artists. Let's awaken the creative spirit within us all and make bad art. And liberate ourselves to make art, make creations, become artists, become creatives. How our creative spirits become extinguished, how we can reclaim creativity, make bad art and accept that we are all inherently creative, we are all artists.

************************************************************************** In this video I discuss how productivity is ruining your life: where productivity culture came from, why we are so obsessed with productivity and hustle culture, who taught us that we are only as valuable as the things we produce? Why do we feel so guilty when we are not productive? why is our productivity always oriented around individualistic success instead of social good?
I want to talk about how productivity culture emerged as a way to serve the interests of our economic system and powerful people, and that productivity helps to mask our personal and collective trauma. I then want to explore how we can begin to decolonise our relationship to productivity and embrace new collective emancipatory forms of dreaming.

I went to school and Uni in the UK, studied politics and history at advanced level, and NEVER EVER learnt about our colonial history.
We glorify empire as its realities are erased. We are the saviours, never the oppressors. We are taught we developed because we were better, not because of colonisation, murder, exploitation, plunder.
We are taught colonialism ended, when it never truly ended, it’s form just changed. It’s time we start to be honest about our history...

Self-help and Self-care resources: Self-help and self-care resources suggested by commenters:
Reddit: mutual support
I'm thinking about the Icarus project for people struggling with mental health, also hearing voices.
Then I haven't completely cheked the rest but the resources about self esteem in West Australia government sounds nice.
Also some books could be DBT workbook (not engaging in the therapy per se but the workbook can give you some good resources, same with CBT workbook. I dont remember the name but there is also a workbook about childhood sexual trauma. And the work of peter levine and other similar authors may help.
Then I would try tapping exercises I think there are some tutorials in youtube. It's exactly as it sounds tapping in different parts of your body to reprogram your mind. It is used in EMDR therapy. Sounds crazy but you don't lose anything if you try it.
Also, yes, mindfullness and yoga could be very beneficial. Except if you experience something related to psychosis. They can help you be more grounded and reconnect with your body. If you dont like those you can always play an instrument or coloring some books or do sudokus to let your mind rest
Look also for journaling prompts write helps immensely and if you dont want to write tou could always record your voice and have somo sort of relief
This is KEY, get involved in your community, get politically involved at the best of your ability, maybe there is some group in your neighbor or association, choose if you can. There might also be someone who organizes activities for neighbors or something. Be part of an union. If you have social anxiety for example maybe try to find some support group. But sometimes getting out of your head and help someone else gives you a sense of power, that you can change things and also a sense of community which capitalism takes from us.
And if you are looking for some app to track your habits, try Habitica, it is free and is like a RPG game, you can also find other people to help you be consistent with your goals.
For mental health? I found some use, as a giver/receiver of help, in going to the Mighty.
Make no mistake, it’s ultimately a private platform and pretty limited. Not sure if it’s organization structure as a entity. But you can get some mutual support from other people suffering the save mental health issues themselves outside of going to a medical professional.
