BRASS VERSION VIDEO (by LockPickingLawyer): youtube.com/watch?v=D6vioIPVzM4
Here's a neat padlock that just arrived!
It's the Bowley Lock's new Padlock Prototype. It's big, badass, and has a newly improved key and core! Now with 9 pins and 2.3 billion key combinations- the security has gotten even better.
This is a truly unique padlock and it works great in the real world, or just as a shiny piece of a lock collection!

YouTuber LockPickingLawyer made a great video recently picking a card lock and it inspired me to bust out my 2 different card locks and finally crack them open!
In this video I pick open a old Camel branded Card Lock as well as my Japanese "Omni Card 21" from a past video I made.

The Forever Lock is now more secure than ever!
We were finally able to get the Forever Lock upgraded to a new Key and new core. The new core uses a 5 slider system with no springs.
This was done to address concerns about bumping and key impressioning which both take advantage of spring pressure on pins.
You can pick up the Old V.1 style with the dimple key for a discount now while supplies last. After they sell out we will only be selling the new V.2's.

The Key has moving parts and the bitting of the key rotates back and forth as it enters into the spiral shaped keyway.
Trying to pick this thing is a nightmare as it is really difficult the navigate with a pick and there are 12 pins!
Another very unique and interesting lock out of Asia!

I got several requests to show this lock again and pick it on camera so I decided to take it off the display cabinet and give it a go.
This is a longer video as the design requires a lot of going back and forth.
A beautiful, rare, and good lock! One of my favorites!
(Please note that in many parts of Asia [including Taiwan, where this lock is from] the swastika is a very respected religious symbol and has nothing to do with any political or war time symbols).

Most of the security of these locks comes from the physical toughness as well as the paracentric keyway. No security pins though.

This bastard of a lock gave me a lot more trouble than I thought it would. Although it doesn't look that tough, it's a quirky little thing!

Here is an Interesting little padlock called the "Take Arms" Lock. It features a unique keyway I have not seen on any other lock. It's kind of like a circular keyway that had the sides pinched in.
It almost looks like a pupil of an octopus. Here's a link to compare. http://pre09.deviantart.net/ea17/th/pre/i/2009/148/d/d/octopus_eye_by_flashyx.jpg

The key us split into two with each side having 10 key cuts. That makes 20 pins total!
When I first tried to pick it I was getting my pick stuck a lot, but I eventually found a pick that worked really well.

It combines Both a pin in pin system (MUL-T-LOCK clone) and a Slider "inner groove" style Lock.
After some experimenting I was able to pick it open. I was helped out with some pretty poor tolerances and a wide open keyway!

I have received many requests to make a video trying to cut the Forever Lock U-Lock with Bolt Cutters so I decided to give it a try.

As far as I know it is the most bad-ass lock ever to come from Canada and it has some very clever security features to stop anyone from picking or bumping it.

There are pins on the top and bottom of the keyway. The top of the keyway has a Tensioning bar at the very front that almost looks like a pin. This bar slides thorough a channel cut down the length of the key.

Here is a really great vintage dual custody lock. It's quite large and heavy duty! It is 80mm wide and weighs 2.4 pounds.
It has 2 cores that use 2 different keys. Both cores must be unlocked for the shackle to come undone, therefore both keys are required.
This lock has been around a long time and seen a lot of action! The inside is a bit dirty, but I was still able to pick it after poking around a bit.

With a XXXL large 40mm Shackle and weighing 5 pounds for the small and 9 pounds for the large, these Locks are sure to make a potential bike thief's eyes bug out of their head.
These come with 2 extra Long "Inner groove" keys and would definitely require someone to get creative to pick them.

New Forever Lock V.2 out now!
Complete Security- No Picking, No Bumping, No Foiling!

Over the last year I have gotten multiple e-mails requesting if I could test the lock against liquid nitrogen/freeze spray attacks.
Recently I had the opportunity to test out the attack with some help from a local laboratory.
As you can see- the lock can be totally and completely frozen in a pool of liquid nitrogen, take a solid hammer beating and stay locked.

As a Bonus I included a demo of my favorite magnetic padlock in my collection; a MIWA EC padlock from Japan!

This U-Lock has a interesting setup where it has 2 Cores~ each with a different function.
They also must be operated in sequence. "A" then "B".
The "A" core turns the "B" core on and off. The "B" core releases the Shackle.
Core "A" has 5 Pins and Core "B" has 9 Pins.
Although a cool idea that adds some security, in this video I show you how to pick this lock.

It weighs 2.6 pounds (1.2 Kg) and has a 20mm thick Shackle!
Anything that you can fit in between the 2 spheres will be locked!
It sports a cool 15-pin Judo® Locking core that can be a tricky Pick~

It has a gigantic protrusion which functions as a multi-layered keyway that has to be traversed by twisting and turning the key in multiple steps!
