It's a very large (80 mm wide + 14 mm shackle+ 3 pounds) combination padlock. It also has some very tricky and weird features! I got it from an antique dealer and was told it is at least 50 years old and from somewhere in Europe. [26] PULL KEY 5 pin Golden Mean Padlock (DEMO) LockMan28 2014-12-17 | I have been trying to track down one of these for long time and finally found it! It's another Golden Mean padlock, but it has a specialized core which requires the cylinder to be pulled out, not rotated. In this video I briefly compare all 3 Golden Mean styles and discuss what makes the pull key version so cool! Sorry for not picking it, I honestly didn't know how. (Earliest version of the MAXIS lock) LockMan28 2014-12-11 | I was very lucky to be able to acquire some vintage Golden Mean Deadbolt sets completely unused and still in their original packaging! It is an example of the very earliest design of the lock that would eventually be known as the Maxis Lock. If you have only one of those, the lock will not open as it has two separate locking points on the shackle. [21] 3-YES Q Edition - Magnetic Dimple Lock (+ SITER comparison) LockMan28 2014-10-29 | Here's a neat and hard to find Lock with a special trick!The 3 YES "Q edition" lock has 2 magnetic pins which need to be moved by two magnets in the key! So if you tried to pick this with only regular picks and didn't know the secret, you would be left scratching your head! [20] An-Tun Door Lock with Spool bead Keys! Demo and Picking. LockMan28 2014-10-22 | Part 1 = Demo // Part 2= PickingHere's a really cool looking lock with a even cooler key! This Lock has 10 pins. There are 5 on top that interact with dimples on the key. Additionally there are 4 tilted pins the right and another 1 on the left. These interact with "Roller" Beads on the side of the key. [19] Golden Mean- Vintage Circular Keyway (Maxis) Padlock LockMan28 2014-10-15 | I was finally able to find one of these locks! It is at about 30 years old but is in great shape. It has a patented keyway and key design that is very unique looking. A great find! Some of you may notice that the "Maxis" Lock was based on this design as this lock clearly pre-dates the Maxis. [18] So Good U-Lock with Triple Prong Key! LockMan28 2014-09-13 | Here I demo another really clever U-Lock that uses a 3 prong push key. Each prong has 2 cuts, for a total of 6 interacting cuts. The Lock itself weighs about 1.1 Kg / 2.42 pounds This is another lock I have no idea how to pick! [17] TY TK Pistol Motorcycle Disc Brake Lock. Demo and Picking! LockMan28 2014-09-02 | Found another cool Motorcycle Disc Brake Lock recently! It's shaped like a pistol and has a 5 pin dimple Core.
