TheDipperPinez27 after a month's worth of work, im happy to announce my most ambitious merge project yet.

if you read "7.1 billion" and immediately assumed this was just gonna be another one of those shitty no good bad apple merges, you were wrong.
i spent the time making sure that ALL midis in the merge are perfectly sync, i extracted midis from merges that are desync to remerge them, this time with offset in mind.
i had also spent my time making sure that i merged in all the midis i had, and i could find. i made a lot of "budget cuts" (essentially just me toning down the ambitions a little bit) along the way (the project was way more ambitious before i actually started working on it), but i finally got the result that i wanted

i feel that even though i had worked a lot on this merge, i still dont deserve ALL the credit. i unfortunately did not commit into memory the list of the hundreds of midis i merged into this work, so instead, i want to discourage people making videos of this merge to simply list the authors as "TheDipperPinez27 and several others" or somewhere along those lines, because it just feels disrespectful to everyone else whose midis i simply put together, remaining them unnamed and all that. so as a request, please list the authors as "The BMC" or something similar; this merge was the effort of the community, therefore the community holds common authorship of this merge.

the sea is an interesting place. it is great and vast, deep and expansive, mysterious and unknown. the deeper you go in it, the darker, and the more deadlier it becomes. people always underestimate how deadly the waters are. one wrong move, and you could die. deep sea predators, some pathogen locked away beneath the depths, just the simple act of drowning. all these things could kill you.

neptune is the eigth planet from the sun.

it is the most distant, and the most coldest of all planets in the solar system (atleast according to our definition of planet, and according to what we know about the solar system). much like the sea, its blue, while seemingly welcome at first, is just as deadly. no spacecraft that we have built so far could survive the sheer weight of the atmosphere the deeper you go

turbulent. stormy. cold. crushing. distant.

these words apply to both neptunes, but i find it fitting for a particular kind of people, place, whatever. what used to be the calm, warmth, closeness of something that ive considered home has been replaced with turbulence, cold, and distance. it feels like getting stabbed in the back. theres not much of anything i could call "home" anymore, nothing could ever fill the void it leaves. its a shame, really. what is left, the soulless husk of it, is anathema to what once was.

no fucking way!!!!

this midi took me a while to produce partly because ive been trying to improve more on my blacking (i hope thats obvious with this midi), and mainly due to motivational issues.

ive been wanting to black this piece for a loooong time. ive been a fan of aiyui's work for as long as i knew what black midi was, and so i felt the need to make this midi as good as possible. although i admit it gets rough sometimes, im not exactly a perfectionist so really i feel like those imperfections can be overlooked. im just too tired and lazy to actually fix them lmao.

also, ive talked about motivation before but its increasingly becoming more difficult to actually find a real drive for blacking other than my sheer passion for both black midi and music in general. its simply impossible to compete in an economy full of 7 year olds and their midis with nothing but noteart with the bpm rising. theyve won already, no turning back. i also couldnt seem to shake off the myriads of mistakes i made from all the way back to 2019. yes, i did let that get to my head and now the full force of younger me's hubris has come back to haunt me.

anyways, aiyui, if youre watching this (and reading this), please dont hurt me i just really like this piece and i wanted to make a midi of it kthx (id appreciate it if you liked it or something too, i guess)
