A film compiled of video clips taken during our recent Call To Arms & Angels European Tour. Danny Gee took the reigns on this wonderful tour film and spent endless hours before and after gigs editing various phone clips and creating new music to accompany the visuals. We hope you enjoy it!

"September. 2020. I’m standing in my music room in Bishop’s Stortford, thinking about the songs for Archive - the new album - we’ve already demoed about 10 i think. We’re using a lot more guitars on this record already, which i love - a lot more noise, but also some real soundscape, atmospheric, intense songwriting. It’s so important, writing songs - expressing yourself. Telling people what you love, what you hate - what colours you, what discolours you. What clouds you, gives you clarity - what makes you laugh, makes you cry. Covid19 was a real shock - I can’t imagine what some people went through. The loneliness, isolation, the loss - the fear - the fear - people so distracted, walking around like zombies with masks on - it was really something. I only had 2 hours a day to write, cos I was looking after my daughter - which was the most beautiful thing - cos I wouldn’t’ve otherwise - she would’ve been at nursery or with her nanny, whatever. 2 hours a day makes you think hard - hard about things - it puts you in a different state - different state of mind - a very creative state of mind I think. In this room I’m surrounded by 3 bands The Jimi Hendrix Experience - The Who - and The Specials These were the bands that put me on the path to doing music - to being creative - and wanting to be in a band. Monterey pop festival 1967 - I must’ve been about 9 or 10 when I watched it on TV - it blew my mind - watching Hendrix, The Who, smash all their gear up - the passion, the violence, but not violence against people, just violence against their instruments - I thought that was amazing, so cool - people always go on about the Sex Pistols, how important they were, but I always thought the Specials were much more important - they were really trying to bring people together - black and white people together - I grew up in London in the 70s and the racism was terrible and i think the Specials put themselves at risk with their message - long live the Specials - their message will never die. You’re probably wondering why I’m telling you all this - as I’m not really a social media person. In fact, all of Archive keep themselves to themselves pretty much - we’re pretty quiet - we get on with our music, that’s what we love. But I was at my Mum's, in the attic just mooching about, having a look through old stuff and i came across a Super-8 camera and polaroid camera and was like ‘Wow, I’m gonna have a go at this’ - and it looks beautiful - romantic, I love the way it looks - it’s not like a digital thing, it’s a proper analog thing. I’ve never documented us making an album, never, I’ve always just got on with it - and then given you the results. But with this Super-8 camera I wanna document it - I wanna film it. I wanna film the building of our studio that’s happening at the moment and show you bits of us demo-ing in this room, in Dan’s room in Brighton - down in Southampton with Dave or wherever - but it all starts here - and it’s going to be an amazing journey."
