Is it just me or does JK's voice have this natural melancholy essence to it that makes it so soothing/ refreshing to hear? I really struggled with this arrangement; from when the album was released I started working on it. I just couldn't put together something that captured the song. Its mainly because songs that really sting you or have strong emotions can be so fleeting cause every listen sounds different. I was dissapointed it was taking so long so but I knew I had to let it soak in over time and one day I can finish the empty parts of this piece. I don't like forcing myself to create an arrangement because then the song loses its individuality and magic. So after some time, I finally got the full piece together!enjoy! I added in a CM chord instead of the regular Gm chord from the chorus onwards, i feel like the CM makes it sound more hopeful haha. I'm on a gap year this year, hopefully ill be able to dedicate it to creating arrangements and learning new songs and skills for piano. Again, my view to this channel has evolved; this channel feels more like a manifestation of songs and pieces I can play. I want to be able to look back at previous videos and see my improvement in technical skill and my skill as an arranger for songs. With that, my videos may steer away from just kpop and other Korean music and into other genres or sounds I find interesting or want to learn.I remember decalcomania coming out amidst assessments and exams and thinking jungkook's voice sounds so different. The very timbre and tone is a lot more melancholy until it reaches the prechorus/ chorus where you hear more of jungkook's upper chest voice. I've changed the key signature to Fm, purely because it is a scale I'm more comfortable in and i understand the harmonies a lot better.
