The Sahara in Las Vegas - Vacant look at the hotel godsinwagons 2011-07-19 | I went to the Sahara to film one of the last looks at the hotel after the vacancy. The Sahara is only desert themed hotel in Las Vegas to not have been owned at some point by Howard Hughes. If anyone knows the story behind that, please comment below. They were selling off the last of the furniture from all the guest rooms, restaurant supplies and just about everything but the bricks. I was lucky enough to get a pair of matching bathroom mirrors from one of the suites. The Beatles stayed in the second suite featured.The Sahara opened on October 7, 1952 and shut down on May 16, 2011. On June 16, 2011 they opened the hotel up to liquidation and before the end of July nearly everything was gone. On September 4th, 2011 the hotel was entirely empty and the hotel officially closed to all. The Sahara's closure left only Riviera, Tropicana, Flamingo, Caesar's Palace, and Circus Circus remaining from the anything built before 1969. The Riviera has since closed (2015). Leaving only--- well the same above minus one.

So therefore, we got a photo of her and shot her up one night in the yard. Because this is what you do when you are protecting your farm from coyotes during the onset of lambing season. The coyotes can detect when sheep are about to lamb and begin to stalk around the property. Therefore, it is an old folk tradition to put a photo of Joan Baez in a tree to keep the coyotes interested in not looking at her see through blouse.

Leaving Trinidad, Cuba for the Bay of Pigs (Solo Travel) godsinwagons 2017-07-05 | I really enjoyed Cuba. Trinidad is a beautiful town with a unique culture. The last and only bus to visit the final leg of my trip-- the Bay of Pigs-- was leaving, but I risked searching the town minutes before it departed to find a handmade dress done by one of the locals. It was worth the risk and I made it aboard just in time. This is leaving the town a minute or two after department the 'bus station' (which was really just the side of a street).Cuba is an amazing country and I hope they can finally thrive now that the United States is oppressing them now just a little less. I also hope that it does not become overrun with foreign visitors and lose their strong cultural ties that are unlike anywhere else in the world. It is truly a double edged sword.I will post more videos when I get a chance. Definitely one of the best trips I've taken and it was very satisfying to reach the Bay at the very end and run straight into the water.

My experience visiting Chichén Itzá in the Yucatán Peninsula godsinwagons 2017-06-08 | I rented a car and drove from Mérida, Yucatán to the Mayan temples. It was an unforgettable experience, but not one I would necessarily be eager to repeat. It was not filmed, but the blood is from my finger. I cut it on my pocket knife accidentally while trying to remove a semi-loose rock from the ground to take back with me. It was very deep cut and bled the entire way back to Mérida and for two days after. I suppose you should not try to remove stones from the Gods without giving something back...The video is masked intentionally throughout a lot of the video in an attempt to protect my tablet from turning off again after overheating in the incredibly near and hot sun. The audio is also quiet due to this fact and you may have to turn your volume up if you care to hear it.I will also note that this vlog may seem highly negative and it may be, but this is how I felt while I was there and that is something that I can't change.
