In these photos is my son, Arthur at age 6. He is now 10, but in these photos we took him in for his routinely eye exam under anesthesia. He has this eye procedure done once a year to check his eye pressure (he has glaucoma) so I went ahead and took a couple photos of him to cheer him up and also have these in my photo books. Mix❣Media Art Journal series-1 Xochitl Aparicio 2013-11-03 | Thank you for watching! Please SUBSCRIBE, LIKE, and comment! I'm starting a New series on Mix Media Art Journal. This first video is just making the actual cover, the back and spine as well as the inside of the book. Incorporating paints, sprays, gesso, mod podge, stencils, and many other elements. It took me about 2 weeks to accomplish the book because I would work on it from time to time. I couldn't work on it every day as I was busy with other life things. This is an old book I purchased at the thrift store for .50 cents. As you see in video I used so many small elements from fabric, paper, yarn, thread, ribbon. lace, buttons, metal findings and flowers. I only made this video to show the process of making the cover and inside of the book. This is why it's titled Series 1, please stay tune for MORE video series on the making of the inside of the book. Each page/pocket will be a video in the making and I hope to record the process for all the pages. If I can't I will make a video of the entire book finished for those that are interested.
