MAKING MARILYN MONROE INTO A DOLL! Making a custom doll! Disney Barbie Girl 2026-06-20 | You voted, and here she is!!Diamonds are a girls best friend! And that movie was proof of it. It has to be one of my favorite movies of all time. The fashions, the dreamcast of actors, and the music! In commemoration of Marilyn Monroe’s 100th birthday, I decided to dedicate a doll to her. And not just any doll, my childhood Marilyn doll. The doll was in such bad shape, and admittedly so I played with my dolls till they were ready for the trash. Luckily, I have a few tricks up my sleeve and was able to turn her into a new Marilyn doll. One to be forever admired! The decision to make her in this outfit wasn’t easy, as she’s had so many iconic looks. But it’s one that I immediately think of when I think Marilyn, and it’s an outfit currently I didn’t have a doll in. From dying the fabric, sewing it, to making her jewelry and accessories, this doll did keep me busy. I started with one from the late 60s early 70s, McCall’s 2123. This pattern simply stands out to me due to the beautiful illustrations on the pattern package itself. The fashions are so unique, MOD, and the color pallet is just so beautiful. My main goal with these is to see how far we can go with making the fashions with detailed touches that are reminiscent to Mattel of the era it was produced! We are using my new lovely twist n turn as a model, and she looks stunning in these many looks! 1959 BARBIE HAUL TIME CAPSULE! A BARBIE COLLECTORS DREAM LOT! Disney Barbie Girl 2026-05-15 | Very little do I ever come across a find such as this. This is someone’s childhood treasure, their 1959 Barbie. And she may not be the one you think of instinctively when you think of 1959 Barbie. Picture proof of her precious original owner, she was her Christmas gift in 1959 (although the picture was developed in April 1960). This doll was carefully played with clearly, and well loved. And her original owner kept EVERYTHING! Right down to the original cardboard insert that holds the doll in her box, which she made into a make shift bed. Many of her items are all marked “TM” marking it from Barbie’s first year! Everything about her is beautiful, right down to her coloring, which she retains quite a bit of. Fun fact about the original picture from Christmas 1959, the outfits she has can be found in the picture as well! BARBIE IN THE 80s! A DREAM HAUL! A RESTORATION OF ICONIC BARBIES! Disney Barbie Girl 2025-12-14 | Wow! What an absolute dream lot to find!! This was my dream collection of 80s dolls as a child. And if I found this case lot, I would’ve been the happiest of kids! When people think of iconic Barbie dolls, very often these dolls are the dolls that come to mind. Crystal Barbie, Great Shape Barbie, Peaches n Cream Barbie, Day To Night Barbie, Sun Gold Malibu Barbie, and that’s just to name a few that’s in this lot. The dolls were very little played with, or played with very well. This was a gentle child, couldn’t have been me lol. Even though they had been played with gently, they were not able to escape the harsh reality of being trapped in a hot stuffy vinyl case in a hot attic or basement. Which is terrible for any toys. She was the one I voted for, and wanted the most! But for a while, she kinda faded into existence and was never really mentioned again. Till a few weeks ago! I personally thought they gave up on the project, so imagine my surprise when we actually got to see the doll! Now she’s not a bad reproduction. She has the new more accurate body, which is so important. However, there’s a few inconsistencies I’ve found from many of those who purchased her. Like random scratches on the body, wonky eyes, and in my dolls case, wacky hair. If anyone is familiar with my channel, we know I’m no stranger when it comes to Mattel and their hair styling as of recent. And Christie unfortunately falls in the same category of they tried. Peaches n Cream Barbie is one of my favorite dolls, and arguably one of the most iconic from their Superstar era. If anyone is familiar with Andy Warhol, they’ll know his Barbie prints which are of Peaches n Cream Barbie. I remember seeing her at flea markets, always for way more than what a child could afford. And I remember Mattel releasing her again in 2009 for the “My Favorite Barbie” series, celebrating 50 years of iconic dolls and designs. She was one I wanted to get, but unfortunately I had other things to buy, so I couldn’t afford to get her. When I first started collecting as an adult, one of the first dolls I wanted was Peaches n Cream. And luckily I was able to add her to my collection! In this video we will be looking at the evolution of Peaches n Cream Barbie by doing a review of an original, all the way down to her play features. Then to the 2009 repro, and then to the 2025 repro. Sometime last year at goodwill I found a lot of boxes 80s Barbie’s. This Superstar Barbie was one of them. Every boxed doll was moldy and damaged by the extreme heat exposure. They were more than likely stored in an attic. Some had mouse droppings and mold growth when I opened them, and all were boxed but filthy. This is the LAST doll from that lot, and one I’ve been kinda procrastinating on. Because I was dreading with the issues she may have. Well now I dealt with the issues and she came out gorgeous! The doll who comes first to my mind when I hear the phrase “Fabulous Hair”. I found this lovely doll at the antique mall for just 5$. It’s a true “Hair to Floor” example. She is gorgeous first of all. Probably one of the prettiest Crissy dolls I’ve ever seen, and I’ve had a few. I loved her so much, I decided to buy her and restore her, so her beauty could shine through. I’m reminded of my Aunt’s Crissy doll that I used to play with as a child, and how magical I thought she was when I hold this doll. She’s an important and quite interesting part of fashion doll history! Because hair can tell just as much of a story as fashion can! And when put together they can paint a lovely picture!
