the dishwasher is not used very often and after an undetermined amount of time (likely weeks, maybe a month or more) they said that it would smell of rotten eggs and there would be standing water in the bottom of the dishwasher.

The analog (S-Video) capture color really looks more pleasing to my eye for the most part than the digital (FireWire) capture does. Could this be a result of how the Hauppage USB Live2 handles analog levels or gamma? I could adjust levels and/or gamma when i do a deinterlace render for either capture source though.
Ivanka Trump was one of the presenters, she was 15. I thought this/she was pretty amusing at the time.
youtu.be/8CpWLQyFU6Y = uncut unmodified raw capture
VirtualDub filters:
Deinterlace = yadif, double BFF - combines fields and outputs 59.94 FPS
Resize = 1080x720 - because youtube will ignore 60fps below 720p
Smoother = 4, enable noise profiler
Unsharp = radius 1.0, strength 1.00, threshold 0
Codec = utvideo YUV 422 BT.601 VCM
notes:
not sure about the weak/bad left channel audio... could be a tape problem or that i need to change a setting in the GV-D200. I have the manuals but they don't help much in figuring out the audio mode of this pre-recorded promo tape from Sony!
not 100% sure but i think this tape originally came with my CCD-TR700 camcorder.
need to set proper aspect ratio, should be 960x720 instead of 1080x720... my error was looking at the video at 3:47 and beyond, the woman in this CGI background footage looked too skinny to my eyes in the VirtualDub preview BEFORE correcting the aspect ratio to 4:3!
Handbrake autocropped 10 pixels from the left so this video is 1070 wide, not 1080.
others have this video on yt as well!
youtu.be/p59VtO297Ro?t=583 - claims 1994 but is identical to my video, including the copyright date at 9:42 in theirs
youtu.be/a7Ttw7hHDVQ?t=567 - 1997, doesn't have the CGI background woman footage, instead creepy bob & joan show off products & accessories. Also doesn't have the Mavica stuff.

Luckily had backups of the files. I guess the clear cover finally served a useful purpose in letting me see what it was doing :/
Fair Use: The right, set forth in Section 107 of the United States Copyright Act, to use copyrighted materials for certain purposes, such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. Section 107 sets out four factors to be considered in determining whether or not a particular use is fair: (1) the purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes; (2) the nature of the copyrighted work; (3) the amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole; and (4) the effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work.
1, Go to My Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame\Cache and open the cache.ini file with a text editor like Notepad.
2, Find the line in cache.ini that references a map you have downloaded. In this video I'm using VCTF-TheMoonRulz as the example. All maps should have the gametype abbreviation at the beginning of their name - VCTF in this example.
3, The string of characters before the = is the name of the file in your cache folder. The string after the = is the proper name for the file. UT3 map files need to have a .ut3 file extension. Find the file in your cache folder that matches the string before the =.
4, Copy the proper name of the map file and rename the file you matched up. Don't forget the .ut3 file extension.
5, Cut the renamed file from your cache folder and paste it into your CustomMaps folder.
My Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame\Published\CookedPC\CustomMaps
6, Remove the line from your cache.ini that refers to the file you moved out of your cache folder and save the cache.ini file.
7, To see if it worked, start UT3, go to Instant Action and see if you can play the map offline in single player mode.
