However, the main focus is for NPCs, but the upcoming VJ Base update, the player side has received a massive update! All default VJ player weapons now have their respective secondary attacks: Grenade launcher for SMG1, Combine ball for AR2, rapid fire for Glock 17, and double fire for SPAS-12. Aside from this, the base has been updated to better handle animations and their transitions! Deploy, fire, idle, and reload animations are now all properly timed with proper transitions when the player changes state! Improved Hitboxes for NPCs! | VJ Base | Garrys Mod VrejGaming 2022-08-13 | Since the creation of Garry's Mod, NPCs and other entities had a major flaw in their hitboxes. The hitbox of the entity would follow the collision of the entity, which is an issue because for most entities, especially NPCs, we do not want it to follow the collision box! Most NPCs have body parts that extend beyond their main body, and making it collidable would make its collision box huge, restricting its movement and causing other issues! The fix for this is to make the hitbox larger than the collision box, allowing extended body parts to be targeted by projectiles or bullets, but not collide with the map or other entities! Finally, with the upcoming Garry's Mod update, the developers have ported over the functions that allow the creation of hitbox separate from the collision box! As a result, after many tests, VJ Base will now use this system. This will be included in the next update, and all VJ NPCs will automatically be updated! Immersive Breathing Mod Trailer | GMod Realism VrejGaming 2022-07-22 | Hyperrealism mods have been a common theme in the past couple years. There has been all sorts of realism mods, from weapon mods to player movement mods. However, one thing that has yet to be seen is a breathing mod! This is where the Immersive Breathing Mod comes in! Similar to real life, breathing becomes a very important necessity, meaning you will have to continue breathing in order to stay alive! To breathe in or out, you have to press the slow walk key (default: LEFT ALT), alternatively you can also hold down that key to constantly breathe in and out, but at the expense of walking slow! If you fail to breathe in or out, your character will start to enter phase 1 suffocation. This phase is harmless and is only used as indication by causing effects like fast heart rate, it alerts you that you need to breathe! If you continue to not breath, you will enter phase 2 which will cause damage, faster heart rate, hearing loss, screen effects, etc. Your character will also lose breathe quicker if you do certain activities, including jumping, being in air, taking damage, and running.
