And once you enter into this room, climb up the ladder and if this is your first time here, you'll find the storeroom key.If you look across the room, you'll see an item and an enemythat you can't get to directly. It’s quick and has a good mix of AOE and ranged attacks.For the first phase, most of its attacks are punishable for at least one hit so you want to stay close to it as much as possible. Even if it hits you, the hits don’t really deal a lot of damage – he only has 2 moves during this phase that are dangerous. His grabbing attack which is kinda easy to dodge but if he does grab you it’ll deal a good amount of damage. And this air attackMake sure you keep an eye out for this air attack he’ll usually follow up with a string of attacks so just dodge away but stay at around medium range and be ready for this spinning AOE attack. You have 2 options here, you can either stay away and heal while he’s spinning or you can dodge roll through it if you time it right. You can even land a hit in between each spin but if you’re not careful, the move will end up catching you.When you’re at medium range you can bait out its slam attack – it’s easy to dodge and you’ll be able to get a few hits in before it recovers. That goes for all of its slam attacks, they mostly have slower startups and longer recovery times so I recommend using weapons with status effects like bleed, poison, or scarlet rot. If you do this, it shouldn’t take too long to trigger his second phase.And you’ll know when it happens when he jumps in the air and lightning starts coming down. This is a ranged AOE move so be ready to dodge. All of it’s moves from here are lightning infused and this is when the boss is most dangerous in my opinion. It’ll use a lot of AOE attacks For the most part, he has the same moveset as before so when you get comfortable fighting his first phase, it’ll make the second phase easier. But it does have different moves, like this thunderbolt attack – just take your time during this elemental phaseThe boss swaps between lightning, ice, and wind infusions each with their own unique moves. The frost infusion has a stomping AOE attack that shoots ice in different directions.The wind infusion has a ranged tornado attack with a slow startup. Just get some distance and dodge to the side when it gets closer.It’s standard moves will change elements too so keep that in mind. Also, try to heal after dodging it’s ranged or grabbing attacks because It’s risky to heal while it’s doing regular moves and that’s really all you need to know,If you’re playing on pc you might experience performance issues, hopefully not. I did though, especially during the second phase so I just used summons. Before triggering this encounter you’ll need to complete some prerequisites. And in this video I’ll show you the quickest way to get this item and HOW TO SUMMON SPIRIT ASHES.When you first open the gates to enter Limgrave, head north towards the Church of Elleh. Use this path as your guide to avoid fighting the tree sentinel. If you’re interested in taking him down later, check out my guide on that.Once you reach the Church of Elleh, it’s pretty simple. Just keep heading north until you reach the Gatefront Ruins Site of Grace in front of Stormgate. Rest here and you'll trigger an encounter with Melina.As you talk with her, be sure to accept her request and you’ll receive the Spectral Steed Whistle, allowing you to summon Torrent. You’ll also be able to level up your character.Once you’ve unlocked Torrent, the first thing you should do is head east to pick up the map fragment for this area. Next, go back to the Church and Renna should be sitting there. Tell her that you can summon Torrent and she’ll give you the SPIRIT CALLING BELL and the Lone Wolf Ashes.To use spirit summons, equip them and make sure you’re near a rebirth monument. You’ll be able to tell by this symbol here. If it’s not appearing you won’t be able to summon spirit ashes until you’re near one.If you want to level up your spirits, visit Roderika at Stormhill Shack. Get her to move to Roundtable Hold and progress in her questline until she’s near the Blacksmith.You’ll need to gather Glovewort since it’s the resource needed to level spirit ashes. You can find them in underground areas.Other than that, have fun and experiment with different Spirit Summons. You’ll find that they’re all useful under the right circumstances, the Jellyfish Ashes for example are great to use against Margit. This video will attempt to be a comprehensive beginners guide for defeating Margit the Fell Omen.Fire and Magic are your best friends against Margit. He’s weak to both so using one of these 2 magic types are a great option for dealing big damage against this boss. I personally recommend Catch Flame which you can get from Brother Corhyn in Roundtable Hold. I prefer this spell because it’s relatively quick and allows you to maintain a close distance to Margit which makes his moves a bit easier to dodge in my opinion.If sorceries are better suited for your build and play style, you can purchase some glintstone spells from Sorceress Sellen who’s located at the Waypoint Ruins in the Weeping Peninsula. My only gripe is the casting time, you’ll need to make sure you maintain a good enough distance from Margit to make sure you recover from the casting animation in time to be able to react to any attack he may try to counter withUsing spirits and Summons are possibly the most beginner friendly options that you have. Using either the Lone Wolf Ashes that you get from Renna or the Spirit Jellyfish Ashes which you can get from Roderika in Stormhill Shack can allow you to deal passive damage if you’re able to distract Margit so they can attack – especially the Jellyfish Ashes. You can also summon Sorcerer Rogier if you want, he’s located right outside the fog gate leading to Margit.My preferred approach for fighting Margit is to a blend of melee combat with close range pyro.For the first phase I like to mainly use melee and Margit’s Shackle. At the opening I like to try and bait out that initial jumping attack that he’ll sometimes do, When he’s in the air, walk straight for a few steps, disengage the lock-on, and dodge roll underneath him before punishing his recovery with a few attacks. Don’t be shy about using his shackles since it’s only useful for the first 40% of his health bar but the 2 uses are perfect for melting his health by that much.After his second phase starts, I switch to Catch Flame – and, essentially nothing changes for me, I dodge roll most of his attacks and act as if I’m still a melee fighter only I’m dealing significantly more damage to Margit than I would if I were just using my weapon. I find that if I fight Margit like this I don’t have to worry about trying to land parries, or be overly aggressive. I even found that I don’t need to heal as much because the fight is usually over quick. If you can’t use Catch Flame, my next approach would be to use a weapon like the Uchigatana or Reduvia for bleed buildup along with a powerful weapon art – this will deal significant damage in it’s own rite. Especially a weapon art like unsheathe. I found that landing those hits deal comparable damage to catch flame.Margit is a tough boss and for your first playthrough he can seem almost impossible to defeat. But there are many options and ways to approach this fight for all kinds of players and play styles. You don’t have to do everything in this video but hopefully if you found something useful to incorporate into your gameplay it’ll help you overcome this hurdle and open up the path to Stormveil Castle where we can continue this journey in another video.

However, there’s one weapon that can make this boss a breeze if you can apply the right amount of pressure and know when to engage. Let’s see if we can reach 25 likes and 3 new subscribersLoadoutThis is the loadout that worked for me. I used the Gatling gun for my right arm, the pile bunker for the left and twin missile launchers on my shoulders. I recommend using a generator with a fast recharge rate. It’s not required but can be handy while you travel through the level and when you enter the second phase of the fight. I stuck with the assault armor expansion like I used for the Balteus boss fight, make sure you check out that video if you haven’t already - but this loadout is a perfect mix of being effective while feeling like a badass throughout the fight. Tips for the first phaseFor the first phase, you’ll always want to maintain about a boost dodge distance away from him and move in a circular fashion around the boss. The charged Pile Bunker is going to be your primary method of dealing direct and impact damage with the other 3 weapons acting as support damage.In the opening, fire all that you have at him along with a charged attack from the Pile Bunker and then boost dodge away from him. When the Sea Spider fires his lasers, move around him in a circular fashion which should allow you to avoid most of his attacks. Whenever the Sea Spider jumps towards you, I’d recommend going underneath him but be mindful to close the distance between you two because you’ll want to stay relatively close to him at all times. Whenever your Pile Bunker comes back online, try boost dodging towards him while charging the attack - I found I had a higher success rate with landing this attack when I did it this way, but by no means is it required to land the move - it’s just a small tip.Honestly, that’s pretty much it for this first phase, it may take some practice learning to dodge his moves but the Pile Bunker does most of the heavy lifting and stuns the Sea Spider pretty quickly while taking chunks off of his health.Tips for the second phaseOnce you deal over half his health, the Sea Spider will become airborne. Keep in mind that when the sea spider first goes airborne, it’s immune to stagger damage and direct damage is heavily debuffed so you’ll want to take this opportunity to land, regenerate some energy, and by the time you get back into the air and approach him, his immunity should be finished.The same applies in the second phase as it did for the first - but this time you’ll want to make sure you manage your energy to avoid landing when he deals his AoE attack. This attack deals massive damage to your character and having a generator that recharges your energy quickly comes in handy during this portion of the fight as it minimizes the time you need to stay on the ground.Approach him and let out all of your attacks along with a charged strike from the Pile Bunker, and immediately land to regain energy, do this as many times as needed until you drop him down to 20% health. After which you’ll want to approach, unload all of your attacks, wait a second, unleash the Assault Armor move, and unleash all of your attacks again which should be back online at this point - this should end the fight before he has the opportunity to do this move which can be game-ender.This last portion can happen pretty fast and requires some timing to make sure your weapons are available when you need them but once you get that down, you’ll be able to end this fight quickly.And that’s how you take down this boss - he’s definitely another tough fight but if you use the Pile Bunker, it can carry you to victory. If you’ve seen AC6 footage in the past month, then this opponent may be very familiar to you.But now that the game has released, we finally get to take him on ourselves and - let me tell you, for me at least, he was pretty tough and definitely worthy of being called a FromSoftware boss.If you’ve been having a tough time as well, hopefully something in this video can help you overcome this challenge and if so, please consider leaving a like, the goal I’m trying to reach is 20 and let’s see if we can get 3 more subscribers from this video. LoadoutYour loadout largely depends on your specific play style. However, I strongly suggest that for your left arm slot, you equip one of the two melee weapons accessible to you at this point in the game. I personally chose the Pulse Blade over the Laser Blade because it has a faster attack speed while also giving me the option to strike twice. Keep in mind this does come at the cost of dealing extra damage and having a longer range. And while the Laser Blade also hits twice it has a slower startup and can be pretty risky in this fight – I found the Pulse Blade worked better for me and was a personal preference of mine. Melee weapons are good for dealing impact and direct damage which is vital for taking on this boss as you’ll want to break through his shield and stun him as quickly as possible. For your other 3 weapon choices - again it boils down to personal preference but I found that the Burst rifle and the twin Missile Launchers had a good balance of dealing consistent impact and direct damage. I went with bipedal legs and the Assault Armor expansion - if you haven’t unlocked expansions for your Mech, I highly recommend doing that for this boss.First PhaseHis first phase starts off the same every time - he lets out a volley of missiles and the best approach here is to make your way straight towards him. There’s time to deal damage to him as you approach but be mindful to dodge towards the boss and past the missiles as they come down and around you. If you get the timing right, most of the rockets will hit the ground behind you as you dodge boost forward. You should end up within melee range of Balteus in which case you’ll want to take that opportunity to take a chunk out of his shield. You’ll want to stay relatively close to him during this phase and dodge to the side or underneath him when he launches his missiles. After you break his shield unleash everything you have at him while the bar above him is flashing red, but after your first volley, stay firing with your right arm weapon but preserve your other weapons until the red bar goes empty.This is when you’ll want to sync your weapon attacks to fill his impact gauge as quickly as possible, for my mech I would charge the Burst rifle and Missile Launchers while I wait, and once the bar goes empty I’d fire all 3 while flying towards him for 2 melee strikes. This would guarantee the stun if I landed everything and it would allow me some extra seconds to deal direct damage to him.Second PhaseOnce his health drops to a little over 50% you’ll trigger his second phase which is much more dangerous. You’ll want to stay further away from him, especially when he starts to recharge his shield. He’ll let out an AoE attack that deals some heavy damage then he’ll follow up with a missile and melee combo that could defeat you if you don’t get enough distance between you two. He’ll also start using flamethrower attacks that leave fire on the ground dealing damage over time - but all of this can be avoided if you get distance beforehand and attack his shield from afar. The same applies when his shield is down.One, very frustrating thing that can happen towards the end of the boss fight is he can regenerate his shield. I had two occasions where I was 1 hit away from beating Balteus and his shield came back up and I couldn’t survive long enough to take them down and deal that last blow.This is where the Assault Armor expansion comes in handy. I’d highly recommend using this move as an offensive tool to deal massive stun damage when you get towards the end of this fight and, if you manage your weapons properly, you should be able to hit him with another volley of strikes and hopefully take him down.

[Elden Ring] How To Beat The Tree Sentinel - Boss Fight Tutorial New Game+ PLUS Ultra!! 2023-08-05 | #HowToBeat #TreeSentinel #EldenRing #Tutorial Follow me on TikTok: tiktok.com/@._1upChallenging the Tree Sentinel at the start of Elden Ring is a fight that can be as easy, or as tough, as you want it to be.I highly recommend using Torrent, which makes the everything easier, and it will allow you to adjust the difficulty of the fight in real time. If you're in need of that extra survivability and mobility, Torrent is useful for many situations but if you want a tough fight and you want test yourself - here are some tips to help you beat the Tree Sentinel without using Torrent. The Tree Sentinel has two phases.For the first phase, you'll want to stick close to the him as much as possible. Most of it's attacks have a slow startup and can be avoided if you move towards the boss when dodging. Each attack can be punished for up to 2 normal attacks With enough pressure and patience, you can stagger the boss and, for my character, I found that 2 charged heavy attacks were the best for dealing the most damage while still giving me time and stamina to dodge if needed.Keep in mind the Tree Sentinel will typically have to hit you twice in order to beat you assuming you're HP is full or close to full. So don't worry about getting hit the first time and, if you do, wait for an opportunity to dodge an attack and take that chance to heal up.The first phase is pretty straightforward and you'll find most of its attacks are readable and avoidable just keep in mind to dodge roll towards him for most of his attacks and punish his misses with a conservative approach, 1-2 hits max. You'll take him down to 50% in no time and trigger his second phase.The key danger during the second phase is it's AOE shield attacks. The dodge timing can be a little tricky due to the slower paced attack animation but with some practice you'll get the timing down and delay your dodge accordingly. Dodging away from the AOE is the key play here and closing the distance with a jumping attack can be a good option for dealing decent damage and stun build up. And just like the first phase, once you stun the Tree Sentinel stick with your highest damage dealing option and remember to always reserve some stamina. This fight takes some practice if you don't want to use Torrent but luckily the Tree Sentinels moves become easier to read and dodge with time. Using weapon skills can be another useful tool and once you defeat this boss you will be rewarded with the Golden Halberd. There is truly something satisfying beating this boss without using Torrent and I recommend all players doing this at least once -- but I can't really recommend doing it this way on your very first play-through unless you're a souls veteran. Using Torrent makes this fight much easier. Stick close for a couple of hits and get some distance when it starts its attack. There's more room for error when using Torrent as there's a chance the Tree Sentinels attacks deal damage to Torrent and not your character. And, with the added speed and mobility I believe this is the best way to experience this fight and opens up your combat options.Another benefit to using Torrent is you get to choose when to fight the boss. You can disengage and get distance with the proper timing or you can close the distance when you see a chance to attack. This can be a perfect way to give yourself a handicap when fighting this opponent.Overall, you should approach this boss and all bosses in the way that gives you a good challenge but not ruin the fun. Elden Ring can be as challenging or as easy as you want it to be and FromSoft gives you the option to choose how you want to approach this - so take advantage of that and play your own game.
