The Narrowband ChannelI have not tested the DUO on three scopes and with this much experience with it I feel confident now that I can make recommendations. Yes I do recommend the DUO for those that want or need a OSC. It really does make the entire astrophotography process easier. Furthermore the most asked question. Does it work, and with every scenario I have tried it does in fact work. Passes with flying colors really. The new 220mm guid sensor is in is amazing. I have a serrate Mini 222MM to that I will review separately soon. The amp free sensors in the DUO are also a blessing. Making stacking both with and without calibration easy. My only reservation is that it is a OSC. Having used Mono cameras for a long time and since stacking with ASTAP makes the difference stacking complexity minimal if not non existent.
Will this camera change the industry? I think it will. I have sorta already said that in other videos so I did not put it in this one.

There is very little info out there about these filters so I thought I would add to what there is for the sake of posterity. I could have some updates but runs smoothly for the most part. It is also native on M chip Apple computers. Something I cannot say about many other pieces of astronomy software. Check it out and if it's helpful perhaps donate to the cause so we can see more updates.SVBONY SV165 40mm Guide Scope ReviewThe Narrowband Channel2024-07-04 | This is just a quick overview of the SVBONY 165 40mm Guide scope. This Crayford type focuser is quite common and is found on many scopes too. You can see in this video in detail what kind of tilt can be introduced into a system. It's not terrible but it's not as good as the other focuser I have tested.Spectra & MirroSky at NEAF 2024The Narrowband Channel2024-04-28 | Mirrorsky had and interesting product there that caught my eye. It's a camera that controls the scope through an app on your phone. It works a lot like the DUO Air that ZWO showed this year. With two companies simultaneously coming out with something like this I think we can say this will be a trend tat more companies may fallow.

They bring a lot of great scope options especially for jumbo sized refractors.iOptron at NEAF 2024The Narrowband Channel2024-04-24 | I have been using iOptron mounts for a long time now. When I purchase my first iOptron, the 45 PO it revolutionized my imaging because I was then able to capture much longer exposures. Plus the larger payload was a big help and kept me expanding what kind of imaging rigs I used on it.Skywatcher at NEAF with former 7 year Olympus Visionary AlexThe Narrowband Channel2024-04-23 | I have know Alex for some time. Started when he was working for Olympus now OM Systems. He has always had a great passion for astronomy and he is very busy doing it all the time. He especially like solar work and naturally I had to ask him about his approach to imaging the eclipse. He also had some great and interesting new products there to show. Mainly their two new strain wave mounts. Both look like excellent additions to the industry. There is also a new scope but it was not there at NEAF.ZWO at NEAF 2024The Narrowband Channel2024-04-23 | Here is my interview with my god friend Simon at NEAF. And in it I do some testing unlike anything you will ever see in any other review. The focuser is impressive to me and the test results will demonstrate that. Hope you enjoy the unconventional but need test.Cleaning the ZWO 2600MC DUOThe Narrowband Channel2024-03-03 | One of my largest pet peeves is exposing filters or sensor vertically to the air. Instantly dust will start to collect. So naturally I make a big deal about it. Getting your gear perfectly clean is very important to good images. It especially helps simplify flats. And flats should not be used to compensate for dust. Clean your gear first. Abusing flats is another big and bad habit I have seen in many other channels.Sharpstar ASKAR 120 APO First ImpressionsThe Narrowband Channel2024-02-29 | 120mm apo scopes were once a rarity. But today there are many choices and that I think is a good thing. It's a great time to be shopping for a scope of this caliber. I'll cover a lot of my first impressions in this video about this great scope.Unboxing the Askar 120 APOThe Narrowband Channel2024-02-09 | I might be getting a new scope. Even the most experience astrophotographer should have one. Why? Because it is one of the best ways to share the experience of the hobby. Take this guy to parties cause it will get interest.Newtonian Scopes for AstrophotographyThe Narrowband Channel2024-01-01 | I like the Newtonian. To me it is a winning scope in many respects. So much that I would like to get another one. Maybe something a little larger. I'll probably have to get a larger mount though as the one I have is already at my mounts limit. Some people downplay the newtonian for the need for coloration. However I have never found this to be a burden to me. It's simple and actually fun to do. And I rarely have to do it. Newtonian scopes are fast too so you can start chasing some of those fainter objects of which there are many many of those.IMX269 the sensor that does not get talked about enough. The Narrowband Channel2023-12-25 | Its biggest advantage is the lack of amp glow. It feels and processes like a much more modern sensor too. Data from it is a joy to work with to say the least.Should you get a Touptek camera over ZWO?The Narrowband Channel2023-12-25 | There has been a lot of recent talk about these cameras. But really the only one I think I could ever need is the 178MM. It is great for all kinds of guiding and is a great planetary camera too. Even good for some DSO work. The new low light sensitivity champion though is definitely the 220MM. If you are looking for an OAG camera it's a great one for that.My Astrophotography And Cancer Battle UpdateThe Narrowband Channel2023-09-24 | Here is an update on my cancer battle. My son and I team up to open the SeeStar. It's an exciting new product. Not because it will expand my capabilities. Really it's a huge step back in image quality. However what it does do is bring fun to the game. That is absolutely essential to getting the younger generation interested in the hobby. I think this product is going to have a trick down affect in that many will start with it and then get deeper into the hobby as the learn about the wonders of space. Like I said. Exciting days ahead.ASIAIR Plus 256G compared to original Plus #astrophotographyThe Narrowband Channel2023-09-07 | This is how quickly the red fades on ZWO products. However the new anodizing look thicker and more durable. Time will tell. Course I might get the microscope out too.
