Thanks for 60,000 subscribers!I tried out a couple new things. This is one of the most complicated Black MIDIs I've ever made. True, Cry of the Lone Mountain had more notes at over 1.2 million, but I think this MIDI, especially for its size, has a huge number of tracks - 76 - in fact! The prodigious amount of tracks is in part due to coloring and layering. This is also the first time that I've utilized all 16 channels (with channel 10 being used for silent notes and note art)! I also experimented with drawing images and text with notes. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this MIDI and video! This MIDI was a 3-way collaboration by @29FroilanJR, @Emblazon, and @reymundokun. The project was originally started by 29FroilanJR and Emblazon as a MIDI special for the 2nd anniversary of 29FroilanJR's Discord server. Emblazon mainly helped with the first part (up until around 55s), while reymundokun mainly helped with the chorus to end part. I particularly liked the note effects (by Emblazon); they translate the percussive elements from the original song to piano very well! As for the original song itself, Idol (Japanese: アイドル) is the opening theme song for the anime Oshi No Ko, which was composed by Ayase and sung by Ikura, both under the group name YOASOBI. Originally released this past Pi day (3/14/23) as a beta version, Psi has been in revision for over a month now and has finally been finalized today. It's now publicly available for download on his Discord server, which is linked in the description of his video (youtu.be/Bjukr0ASI2Q). I originally rendered this video in 60fps, but it looked too smooth and weird (at least with this notespeed), which is why I rerendered it in 24fps. 24fps might be a little too choppy though, so I might shoot for 30fps in the future. I tried my very best, gathering data from the few pages archived in the Wayback Machine. To fill in the gaps, I applied various regression models (linear, exponential, & custom ones as well) that best reflected realistic individual channel growth. Since I'm unfortunately a human, I made a couple mistakes & missed a few subscriber special vids. Thus, ArduinoPlays's initial channel growth is too early & slow by a few months. I heavily relied on regression models for EpreTroll so any sub count below 4,279 for him is my best educated guess (his channel had very few pages archived in the Wayback Machine). The initial sub growth for the old-timers (Gingeas, TheSuperMarioBros2, & Ryan TTC) should be quite accurate as there were many pages of their channels archived in the Wayback Machine. Also sorry for the frame drops throughout the video, I might have to slow down recording and not record it in real time, but we'll see.
