katieb1111 2019-01-19 | Yooo guys, I finally got some time to edit these parts~ So we rescue Latias, talk to Spinda as Ho-Oh, trigger the Lugia quest, and FINALLY GET SMEARGLE but only because I kinda cheated ;v

Anyways we're getting closer to the end of the Let's Play! I'm going to do all the story-related things and the legendaries, and if requested I'll try my hand at one of the really hardcore dungeons that makes you lvl 1 and stuff.

I had to move the phone around now and then to film between the wire of their run, so sorry about that. They make a lot of cute noises though, I like to watch them dust bathe.

From left to right, there's Chloe the Welsummer, Ginger the Rhode Island Red, Yodel the Barred Rock is the in back, and Raptor the Cinnamon Queen is in the front right.
Tillie the Australorp is the black one that walks in front of the camera in the beginning, and Speckle the Speckled Sussex is the spotted one who tries to join in later

MAJOR SPOILERS FOR BOTH GAMES AHEAD!!

Holy cow I’ve been working on this since April ._. And after numerous crashes Flash finally cooperated with me in time for me to post this today, on Ousama’s birthday. Thank god!

Anyways, after I played Holiday Star I was really struck by how relatable Kazuaki-kun was, and I couldn’t get his story out of my head. After hearing this song, I knew I had to do a PMV about him.

I timed it to the music in very specific ways, as follows:

0:00-0:38, guitar only
Kazuaki alone
This is the start of the PMV, when Kazu is depressed and alone. Only one instrument is playing.

0:39-1:01, Bass drum comes in
Hitori meets Kazuaki
When Hitori arrives, a bass drum begins to beat, and it almost sounds like the beating of a heart. After meeting him, Kazu feels more alive and happy finally

1:02-1:18, banjo comes in
The journey
Hitori leads Kazu to ‘the ends of the earth’, which I interpreted as out in the wilderness somewhere. In Holiday Star when Kazu wants to call an ambulance, Hitori said that one wouldn’t be able to get all the way out there. So I assumed they were far from the city.

1:19-1:55, bass guitar comes in
Hitori’s betrayal
The PMV switched focus to Hitori for a little bit here, when a bass guitar is added to the music. It shows his transformation into the fake Kazuaki, as well as his inner turmoil with shadow Nageki.

1:56- 2:13, guitar only again

Kazu’s spirit drifts into the sky and boards the galactic train

2:14-2:30, all instruments
The Galactic Train
The beginning of this section, when all the instruments are playing at once with a very heavy beat, made me think of the rhythmic chugging of a train. If I had more time and Flash didn’t crash so much, I would have liked to fully animate the train bursting into frame.

2:30- 3:05, all instruments

And the rest is pretty straightforward! Most of it is scenes from Holiday Star

3:06-end, guitar only
Kazu is once again being lead on a journey by another bird, but this time everything will turn out alright. As for Hitori, I want to think that after Holiday Star ends he starts feeling some guilt for what he did to Kazu…

Anyways that’s all for now! I put a lot of effort into this, I hope everyone enjoys it! :)

katieb1111 2018-06-13 | I'm a first time chicken owner, and I'm trying to wean them off of having a light on at night. I had a small nightlight on for them, but I don't think they could see by it at all. They starting making a sort of whining sound, and wouldn't calm down until I sat on the ground and held them in my lap with a towel over them, like a mother hens wing.

Then my Barred Rock started making a trilling sound. They've done this now and then before, but not this loud.

Can anyone translate these sounds for me? I'm assuming the whining sound is either a 'I'm scared' sound or a 'Where are you?' sound to locate the rest of the flock
