My ladyfriend came to stay with me (from the mainland) and to be my date for the wedding. I was the best man and I nailed the speech. People have said that it was the best best-man speech they have ever seen! I was so stoked to hear that! I said it all from my heart. I wrote nothing down and I made it fun. It was about ten minutes long haha! Congratulations, Levi (he's been in a few of our adventure movies). I spent the next few weeks spending time with her then disaster happened here on Maui. A hurricane south of Maui caused a massive wind storm here with no rain. Eighty mile per hour (128kph) winds were happening on that side of the island and it sparked massive, quick fires. People didn't stand a chance. Many, many didn't make it. Most of historic Lahaina was decimated. It was a huge shock and extremely tragic. Elena left a few weeks ago after spending 40 days with me. I hope to see here again soon. She's very, very important to me and I really do want to cultivate that relationship. If it's meant to be, it'll happen. If not, I'll keep chugging along and doing my thang :)Right now I am all about getting back to working out and eating well, selling whatever I don't need, making and saving as much money as possible and fixing everything I need to fix. I now have more time for vidgeos and the boys will return! Much love and I miss you guys!

We had been planning this for months. The Wednesday night before my flight out, I called him up to chat a bit and after the conversation, I said "Okay brah, I'll see YOU tomorrow!""What?" He said. I replied with "...see you tomorrow!""hah?" He said. I returned with "....see...you....tomorrow?"I goofed up! He was confused because I had gotten my flight one day too early! Ahh jeeze! It was within 24 hours and too late to do anything about it. I would have had to cancel and been put on standby. I had to do what I had to do so the next morning, I flew out of Maui to Las Vegas without a place to stay or anything to do! My flight was terrible. Southwest has horrible seats that caused me to have swamp ass the entire time.I got to Harry Reid Airport in Vegas and thought about hanging out there and sleeping overnight. That place is just too busy so I found a cheap hotel room on the strip at Harrah's, booked it then called an Uber. There was an argument in the Uber staging area between two groups of people and airport "security". I think they were all named Karen. Not sure. I got my Uber who was a nice Ethiopian man who had three kids and loved it in Vegas. En-route to the hotel, there was a road rage incident right behind me where a man in a cargo truck got out and yelled at the guy right behind us. He was making gun motions, I ducked down into my seat. The Uber driver was not concerned one bit. "Oh it happen all the time. No worries". He was so chill lol.I checked into my room which had THE WORST goose feather pillows I've ever experienced. They ends of the feathers stuck out of the pillow like hundreds of hypodermic needles. I wanted to take a nap as I barely slept the night before but man, I was in Vegas and it was only 5pm. I tanked a Pepsi, didn't change my clothes and AUTOBOTS, ROLLL OUT. I walked the strip in 99 degree (37.2C) heat while checking everything out and talking to whomever. I got annoyed at this one woman who refused to let me get away from her. She was soliciting something perhaps paid pictures with her. "I told her, I have to use the restroom so I have to go" which I did!. She said "I'll make you forget and touched my arm." Gross."nope, I gotta shit, bad". I scurried away and found a restroom haha! SWEET RELIEFI started walking around more while taking pictures of stuff and eventually started hearing terrible singing. I followed it to a place called The Piano Bar where they had karaoke. I sat down and ordered a Manhattan that came in a PLASTIC CUP. Are you serious? I was like, really? A plastic up? I can understand why, though. People in Vegas seem too just walk away with their cups, mugs, etcI drank my VERY expensive plastic drink and relaxed a bit. I ordered a beer after that talked to the server who was ALSO from Hawai'i. I got nice and chill watching everyone sing. Some where terrible, some were okay and some were really good! This one guy sang OPERA. Everyone was stunned.I was like "AIIGHT. THAT'S IT. IT'S TIME TO JAM". I got up, looked in the book, found a song then signed my ass up to sing in front of 50-75ish people. I sat back down My heat was racing. I was about to do this! It was about. To. Go. Down. Eventually I got called up and I sang Incubus - Drive and I NAILED IT. That was so awesome. When I got off the stage, I had a small fan group. One of them asked me if I could sing Live - Lightning crashes and I was like "Oh yeah, I got you" and signed myself up again.Later on that evening, I got called up again to sing that song and I killed it again!!! My new friends were right up at the stage signing with me. It was awesome! They bought me beer afterwards! I was really exhausted by then so Instead of hanging out with them any further, I said my goodbyes and returned to my room. That sure was an experience. I never thought I would have the courage to do something like that. I'm glad I did. The rest of the trip was....interesting lol

I had it for about eight years so it had a good run! I loved that thing. It was slim, quiet and black-lit.After searching a few stores, I went to Walmart and found one that I wanted which was behind a locked case. I went to the counter and waited in line. There was one woman working and she looked a bit sour. She wasn't unprofessional or anything but I could tell and FEEL that she wasn't having a good evening. This was especially so since the man before me completely wasted her time and got aggressive because his credit card was not working. I silently wished him well on his journey. When it was my turn, I greeted her with a big smile and advised that I required a computer keyboard from the case. On our way to the case, I asked her how her day was going. She replied immediately with "BUSY!"I laughed and told her that I could see that. Without hesitation, she unloaded on me about how her night was proceeding. She told me that she was all alone in that department, that almost everyone called in sick and the one other worker that was supposed to be with her has been on her lunch break for two hours now. Two hours!I told this woman that I know exactly where she's coming from and that I had been in the same shoes many, many times. I gave her a little support by saying that she's doing a great job and that I appreciate her.I could almost taste the weight being lifted off her shoulders. She sighed, looked at me and said "thank you!" with a big smile. She went from looking frustrated to being in a chipper, happy mood and man, that felt nice.My new keyboard was rung up and she gleefully asked the next person in line to provide assistance and was whisked away to another section. As she was walking away with them, she turned around, waved to me and said bye with a smile.That's what I'm talking about, folks! Even if just going shopping, we have the capability to be mindful of others and lift them up when they need it. Well, I forgot to get to part 2!So after I got morphine'd up and prescribed 80 oxys (80!!), I went home still broken. Kaiser could not fix me up as my humerus bone was broken really badly. It didn't snap in half but instead, separated sideways. Imagine a log and now imagine you splitting the log with an ax. That's how my bone broke. Sideways. The x-ray is nuts! I needed surgery and the quickest they could get me in was two days from then.I spent the next two days in euphoric agony as the pills were making me fly to the moon but I still felt pain and could not sleep laying down. I could not shower. Everything sucked and I couldn't go to work which I loved doing. I loved that job. The day of the operation arrived. I went to the hospital and signed in. They had me get undressed and into the shitty hospital gown. I laid down and they affixed the gas mask and asked me to count to ten. I made it to three. I was frigging out.Almost immediately to me, I was waking up. I felt groggy and disoriented but I had to pee REAL badly. There was nurse moving me around and I said "oh my god I have to pee really really badly!!" So...she just grabs my junk, wipes it with something and SHOVES a catheter in. I was like "umm....okay" and immediately relieved myself. I couldn't control it. It just happened. Phew! ReliefThen I realized something else. I had no prepared for this event. I did not know this was going to happen. Had I known this was going to happen, I WOULD HAVE TRIMMED. You know? Gosh there was just an absolute forest happening down there. I mean it was actual bushes, guys. There may have been a family of birds. So I got immediately embarrassed and told the nurse something like "oh my god, I'm so sorry that I have a huge ass bush down there".She. Did. Not. Respond. She didn't even look at me. That made me feel EVEN WORSE. Now I was thinking "oh my god, she thinks I'm small!"I am not. I am average but that huge bush hid like TWO inches! It was like Zohan, yo! I was mortified. It's funny where our minds go, you know?They placed me into a room and served me the the most bland meal I have ever eaten. I know they do it but still, it sucked. I demanded to be let go and they eventually agreed. I was okay and wasn't about to spend any more money there!I went home and you know, I didn't feel any pain after that. I still took them damned pills, though. I got addicted to them and that's a story for another day.

I didn't know it at the time but I was. It was only as a conscious adult did I realize this. OR, I am full of crap. That might be true as well however, I am sticking with MY idea :pIt was during my seventh year and due to word of mouth, I found out that a girl liked me. Her name was Kendra and she was much taller than I was. That did not bother me at all. Her cousin Chanel called me up one night and asks me if I wanted to "go with" Kendra. I gave her the nonchalant "sure, why not" and it was on.I spent the next few weeks talking to this girl on the phone as we did before cell phones and text messages became a thing. Remember kids, Uncle Curt grew up in the 70s-90s. Anyway, I wasn't really sure how I felt about her. There were things that bothered me about her. Kendra was sweet, but my goodness did she just BATHE in an obnoxious perfume. I think it was called Electric Youth by Debbie Gibson. It smelled like shit, guys. All the girls were wearing it. All the girls smelled like ass. It was gross. When we would go out, my nose just burned the whole time. Another thing is that she was just so boring. Like, she didn't make me laugh. Half of the time I spent on the phone with her was with Chanel who DID make laugh. I just wasn't really into Kendra. She was pretty but that wasn't enough for me. Even at that age, I knew that I wanted someone as weird as I am.On a fateful Friday night soon after, I met up with my cousin, some of his friends and some of their female friends at Fun Factory. Fun Factory was a large video game center. That's what we did. That's how we socialized back then. We went to the mall, to the game centers and to high school football games. Anyway, I did not know these girls but all of them were kinda cute. I didn't dwell too much into that, though. I had a woman! *beats chest*. The night ended and I went home. Well, my mom picked me up. Days went by then my cousin called me up and told me that "Tiffany" liked me and wanted to "Check me out". I was flabbergasted. Tiffany was the alpha female of her group. She was weird, funny and very pretty. But again, I had a girlfriend.The next day at school, there was a dance. It was one of those dances were everyone is extremely awkward and shy until the weirdoes decided it was time to let loose and be weird. I however, decided to walk outside and hang out by the monkey bars with the other derelict children. Chanel came outside to tell me that Kendra was looking for me and wanted to dance. I immediately said "No thanks, tell her I'm dumping her".Welp. Chanel stormed off and told her. A few minutes later, I saw Kendra burst out of the cafeteria where the dance was being held and sat down on the sidewalk crying. I went over to console her like an absolute knob and told her that I was sorry and that I was going out with someone else. I even patted her on her head like she was a dog. Sheesh! My friend Robert and I went dirt biking up in the hills and we were having a great time. I wasn't a particularly good rider back then but knew enough to get by.There is this one road we called "Powder Road" that connected two trails and boy was it powdery. You had to gun it all the way up otherwise you would not have traction. Trying to go slow and steady is pointless. Robert went up first. You have to wait a few minutes after other people go up otherwise visibility is zero due to the gigantic dust storm that a dirt bike creates there.The dust settled, I pinned it and off I went. The ascent is squirrelly at best. You're really just holding on. I was probably going about forty miles per hour (64kmh) up this gnarly, powdery beast when my front tire dipped into a deep part of the powder. It must have been a rut that was completely covered by the soft, silty dry dirt. My front tire twisted and myself and the bike bucked up into the air.I came down with my arm extended to brace my fall and at the same time, my bike was right next to me. As soon as my hand made contact with the ground, the radiator of my dirtbike crashed into my upper arm. I heard a "ping" sound.I crashed hard. When I got up, I was shocked to see that my arm was just kinda dangling and I couldn't use it. That's because it was snapped in half! So there I was, in a house dust storm that I created with a broken arm and no one around. I started screaming for Robert but he didn't come. He was gone! I started freaking out checking to see If I was bleeding. I wasn't thank goodness. Eventually, Robert came back down and calmly picked up my bike FIRST then checked me out haha! He went to the bushes and created a make-shift sling. We spent the next four hours getting our bikes down the mountain to get me to the medical center. I didn't want to go to the hospital or call the ambulance because it's expensive and we were riding on government land :pI got to Kaiser, and had the most excruciating x-ray of my life. The X-ray tech was absolutely gorgeous and I was just there tearing up as I had to lift my broken arm up onto the platform. It hurt...REALLY badly.No less than three doctors came in to see me after that and were more interested in the story than the actual, you know, BROKEN ARM. I guess they see this a lot. Anyway, they gave me the MOST morphine legally allowed in a shot, prescribed me some drugs and sent me on my way without fixing my arm. I was like what? "Your arm is very, very broken. You need surgery". Crap!While waiting for the pain pills, the morphine kicked in. WOOOOO!! Boy was I floating now. There was no pain. I felt WAY too good. I was talking to everybody. I remember telling the security guard standing near the pharmacy that he was a great man and that he was doing a fantastic job. I little girl came up to talk to me and asked me what happened. I told her the story and her mom was just looking at me laughing like I was a complete idiot. Which is true.THREE days later, I had the surgery and now I forever have a titanium plate in my arm.My name is Curt and I have done this.

My friends and I were on our way to Las Vegas for a hell of a time. We were all quite scattered and I had a window seat away from the gang. You know the constant glance-and-hope as you wait for whomever is going to sit next to you? Sometimes it's like "Yeah? Yeaaah?? Awweeeeeee" then you have to sit next to someone you don't want to.I saw this girl walking down the row and I was thought "'C'mon. C'mon. C'mon. C'mon, sit next to me sit next to meeeee!"SHE DID! "YES!!" I loudly professed inside my mind. Then thought "Shit now what I do?? I Have no game whatsoever!" I still have no game. :p This girl was tall. She may have been a volleyball player for whatever college she was returning to. I'm assuming it was UNLV. Anyway. Her legs were just too dang long for the economy seating situation. My short legs had AMPLE room. Oh, I am always 100 percent comfortable on any plane. It's one of the perks of being little guy, yo!Anyway, the flight went on and she put on her headphones. To me, that's a signal that she did not want to be bothered. So I did the same, you know? I thought to myself that nah, just be cool and enjoy the flight.Time went on and the cabin lights went low. I decided to whisper into this woman's ear with "hey....wanna go to the bathroom and you know...mile high club?"Haha! I didn't do that. I just lied. :p This girl was trying to sleep in the most uncomfortable manner. She tried so hard to get into a good position until I finally knudged her shoulder. She took out an earbud, smiled and said "Hi". I told her she can put her legs into my foot area because there's LOTS of room haha! She IMMEDIATELY did so. No hesitation. "oh my god thank you!!!" *Floof*Boys, I made a big mistake because now, I couldn't do shit. I was all kind of stuck now. Her spider-ass legs consumed all my space. It was okay, though. I was the hero! I shall be rewarded and the village shall be saved! I watched her continue to shuffle to find a good position to sleep in. If she stretched out length-wise, she would be all into the fat of the huge lady next to her. if she stayed at the center, she had to kind of hold herself up with her core. The absolute worst/best case scenario then happened. She looked at me and asked if she can grab on to my arm. "Uhhhhhh yyeaaah????" I squeakily muttered.She put her arm around mine, pulled herself close and rested her face on my damned shoulder. "thanks!" This girl was not afraid of anything, it seemed. I thought that surely this was not actually happening. I froze. I didn't know what to do. I was totally uncomfortable because her mile-long legs kinda locked me into place but I felt like the king of world because of what just happened. It was like being employee of the month. I win...AND lose. The girl fell asleep. I had to pee. I had a cramp. The village wasn't saved.We landed. We smiled at each other, had some extremely small talk and disembarked the plane. I was behind her when we reached the gate. Some friends who were seated further up the aircraft were waiting for her. My friends were as well. Each group went different directions. I looked back and at just about the same time, so did she. I smiled. She smiled and made a heart with her hands then I waved. That was it. We both turned into the pages of our separate lives and walked away. I never got her name or anything. It was just one of those little, meaningful moments that you remember forever. It was a footnote with a pure mood.I wonder if she remembers me? Hmm.

For the longest time, I had it on a pop station which was okay but I was often aghast at how terrible some songs were. I local country music station here on Maui. I was like "okay...why not".Well, after weeks if listening to country music in the shower, I've learned that country folk really love tequila and beer, absolutely nobody has a new truck, everyone's dog is named Blue or Buford, the vast majority of them live in a perpetual state of breakup, and "'merica!". I like it. I might be a little country.I don't know if this is related but I've also found myself working a little harder when I'm outside doing things. Weird!

This past week I got my motorcycle all legal again. Because of that, I've been taking it on a short rides to do photography stuffs. The single action of getting it legal allows me to do two things that I love and that makes me feel good!I've also built a shelf into my wall, massively cleaned my bathroom and bedroom, steam cleaned my bedroom carpets...and learned how to make a stir fry. I was cleaning my yard and the adjacent sidewalk when I just decided to go do it. It's been neglected for a while. There used to be someone that would come and clean his yard but I haven't seen that person in a while. It felt weird cleaning someone else's yard lol. I knew the old man and his wife were inside watching me wondering what the hell I was doing. He eventually came out and thanked me. He was so grateful and that made my day! AGAIN.Lately, I've been consuming youtube videos showing people trying extremely hot sauces and peppers. I was fascinated by their struggles. Some people handled things better than others (of course) and they're often hilarious. I must have watched over two-hundred of them.I've never been a fan of hot and/or spicy food but after watching so many of these videos, my curiosity grew. I started testing the waters with "cooler" peppers and sauces and I was fine. One of the hottest up until that point was a Thai chili pepper my neighbor gave me. It was pretty hot. I was sitting there with him and both of us were saying things like "Ho brah this is "f***ing hot!". And it was! They have a good amount of heat but my goodness, I was not at all prepared for SATAN'S BLOOD sauce. Okay, so it's not a sauce but an extract. It's VERY concentrated and one drop equals 800,000 Scoville heat units. About three hours ago, I dipped a chopstick into the bottle about two inches down, consumed the "sauce" and began my journey into the depths of hell. Oh, I didn't just quickly swallow it either. I sloshed it around in my mouth like the absolute genius that I am. I figured the amount I had taken in equaled to around 4-5 million Scoville heat units. Yep. Almost immediately, I knew I made a big mistake. It felt like my head was a balloon and it was being blown up with fire. The heat in my mouth was on a level I just couldn't image before. My body went into a panic and not like a panic attack panic, but like a body panic. You know? It was as if my body was like "NOPE. THIS IS NOT THE WAY". I then got the very common "hot pepper hiccups" but that only lasted a minute or so. My eyes decided it was time to evacuate all the liquids. I looked like I just finished watching Hachiko or at least, that's what I felt like I appeared. I didn't know what to do. I started shuffling around and advising of my struggle with profanities whilst my friends laughed at me with good reason. If I was on the other end, I'd be laughing too 😛. Next was my nasal cavity. It vomited itself out of my nose and quite furiously so. It was just like FOOOOSSHHHHH, SAFE. But I wasn't safe. I was in peril, I tell you, Absolute PERIL. I asked my friend to get me some ice cream which he did (Thank you lol) but I could barely do it. My hands were shaking. I was on FIRE and in survival mode. I managed a forkful of ice cream and it did absolutely nothing. I dropped the fork into the sink which I was hovering over. I couldn't hold the fork very well. WATER on the other hand, was helping. They say it doesn't help. It does. It helped me, anyway. Perhaps it was merely a placebo affect but at that point, It was what I needed. And yes, I said forkful. 😛 That's what I was given. A fork. For Ice cream.After that my body started to heat up. I was sweating and felt like I had sunburn so I poured water all over my head.The next stage of hell was the poops. Remember when I said my body was in panic mode? This was apparently part of it. The urge was there and strong so I grabbed my large, savior of a water bottle and went into the bathroom. My mouth was on fire, I was sweating, and now my stomach felt like there was an ember sinking down into it. Once that was done, I sat down on a chair and felt all kinds of weird happenings in my chest. Things I've never felt before. There was gurgling, vibrating, and like...waves of pressure sensations. I thought to myself "this is not good" but I did not panic. I just kept telling myself that it's just pain and I'll be fine. Moments later, it kind of just...ended. The fiery ember in my stomach still lingered on, though. It wasn't that bad but it was...there. I now have a whole new appreciation for those youtube videos and all the people that suffered for them 🙂 Oh, the after effects (the next morning) was just as if not worse lol.I am never doing this or anything like it, ever again.And that brings me to the point in the video about the pain. This happened three days before I had the operation in my mouth which was this past Thursday. I STILL feel no pain in there. Nothing. Not even discomfort. Thanks, super hot sauce :p

It was a hell of a great time. There were chicks all over and I looked great because of all the exercise and sun. Also, there were huge parties the night before and usually of the regattas (races) which was awesome.One night before a race, I loaded up on spaghetti (my favorite!) during the party and didn't drink. I didn't want to have a hangover the next morning.My heat started at 9am and I was 5th seat out of six. The sixth seat is the steersman. I remember being very, very nervous going in. This was my first race. I didn't get much sleep the night before. I was too excited. I was so excited that my stomach was in a knot.I got into the fifth seat of the outrigger canoe which is second to last. The last and sixth seat is the steersman. We lined up with the other race canoes as the holders kept us stable. A holder is a person in the water literally holding the canoes in place. One of the holders was right next to me in the water. His hand on the rail just behind me. My nerves kicked in hard. My stomach groaned. I started to panic...And then I threw up all that spaghetti...RIGHT in front of the holder. Like literally inches from his face. Everyone in my canoe was like "CURT NOOOOOO NO CURT NOOOOOO!". I was like "BB LRJLLBLBLRKRKBB".The dude in the water...DID. NOT. FLINCH. He was like "Gross!" and kept holding the canoe. I apologized profusely but didn't have time to react to anything other than the announced "READY!" from the steersman behind me.The race was about to frickin' start!! There was nothing I could do. I felt sick AF and probably could have puked more! Paddles up was announced and it was time to go. OH SHIT. The gun popped and we were off.I had no choice but to handle it and paddle my ass off which I did. I remember the water being like glass. There was no wind that day so we were absolutely flying. I just kept staring at the water and how fast we were going. I thought of nothing else and before I knew it, the half-mile was done...and we won! lol. I thought to myself, "dude..."The crackhead got up and was even more furious at this point. Mind you, I was still putting gas in my car. I hadn't moved yet. I was just looking at him and watching. The dude started making fighting motions and tried to coax me into a fight but I told him to just go away. He then asked me for money and I said I don't carry money. He got more upset.He mumbled more stuff and tried swinging at me again but this time, it was from only 260 miles away. He obviously missed but tried to do some kind of cockamamie karate kick which resulted in him falling on his face. This dude was kicking his own ass! I told him that too. I said "Dude! You're kicking your OWN ass!". He became even more furious. I told him that I would absolutely wreck him and that I didn't want to have to do that. He agreed! haha! Burning Old Wood For Watch Photography minitwatch 2020-03-12 | Here's something a little different! I recently got into finding old pieces of wood and using them for my photography on instagram. My friend showed me how to do it and I've been hooked ever since. I figured I'd make a happy little video about it. First and foremost, BE SAFE. Know how to use a torch! Use safety googles and only do this outside and away from flammable materials (aside from the wood of course). Keep a fire extinguisher handy or at least a water hose. Use a facemask. Do this at your own risk! I will not take responsibility for any mishaps!Here's more information. Don't be afraid to burn the crap out of the wood. Even if you feel you did it too much, it'll still be beautiful! Experiment with things. Use wire brushes, sand paper and stains to achieve different looks. Also, don't forget to wipe off the carbon after you do your burning. My mom had gotten a gold 1982 BMW 320i. It was in pretty good condition and looked old but I fell in love with it. I took it upon myself to make it nice again. I spent hours after school waxing it, polishing up all the bits, cleaning the interior and wheels. When I was done, it looked freakin' fantastic. My mom was super happy. I had hoped that by the time I was ready to get my driver's license, my mom would have wanted to give it to me. She didn't. She painted it red and sold it then got a new BMW. I know that a lot of people can but I am not one of them. I have to think about something. I think about all sorts of things when I am in bed about to shut down for the night and they are often pretty weird...or extremely nerdy.Lately, I've been imagining that I somehow got a hold of a few older airliners such as the Boeing 737-200 and DC-9. I envisioned them being retrofitted for combat duty. Yes, combat duty and like, extremely and more importantly, impossibly so.Hulls were retrofitted with armored composites for additional strength and reduced weight. Wings were slightly widened, cut shorter and raked back just a bit more for maneuverability. They were also composite and no winglets. Engines were all replaced with afterburning turbojets so these birds could reach around 700mph (1126 kmh). Windows were removed. Pylons for many ASM/AGMs, AAMs and bombs were placed under the wings. Small, rear-mounted , Phallanx type guns were put just under the tail for anti missile/anti-aircraft bafoonery (watch that rotate!) . Arrays of forward mounted chain guns, cannons and machine guns that are most likely tucked away for aerodynamic purposes were added. A few cruise missiles were stashed inside the hulls with launch doors in front of and aft of the main landing gear. An array of countermeasures including ESM and flares and even EMP were stationed around. The 737 would be kind of like the P8 Poseidon but smaller, more agile and much more nuts. A dog fighter it would not be. But it would definitely be a huge menace :p. So yeah, these are the kind of whacko things I think about before sleeping.
