But she doesn’t want to hurt him or be punished by her moms, so she complains to her friends about it instead. Which leads to her developing resentment towards everyone she holds close and talking about them behind their backs.This leads back to her becoming more controlling over not just her friends, but also Pen. And their moms really didn’t bat an eye at that, as Pencil had always been more dominant/assertive than Pen.However all it does is cause more damages to their rapidly frail relationship.It especially doesn’t help when their moms adopted Marker. As he frustrates Pencil due to his childish antics & behaviour despite their same age, and Pen tries to protect him from his family.And well... maybe the fact that victims of Pencil were distrusting of Pen because of his relationship to Pencil and therefore, unwilling to reach other contributed.It all eventually becomes too much and Pen snaps back at Pencil and they get into an explosive argument.Pen makes a remark that snaps her back into the presence and make her think about everything a bit more. So, for the first time in her life, she tries listening out to someone.But it’s already too late as Pen has made up his mind on his sister. And in Re:Told, Chiaki is offered the opportunity to observe her classmates and help them return to their true selves. Which means both of them have their memories from HPA up until they were put into the Neo World Program. Due to this fact and that they’re alone, Chiaki calls Hajime by his first name, as they were that close before Hajime vanished. Hajime and Nagito were also close. However Nagito had been batshit terrified at the idea of calling anyone of his friends, so he refuses to call anyone by that label, which is made clear to Hajime in a mental breakdown. Hajime had already befriended a good majority of their classmates, and wanted to befriend Nagito as well, quite stubbornly as Nagito kept refusing his attempts. After that particular mental breakdown, Hajime realises Nagito is a lonely person, and he was already deeply insecure of being talentless, but the realisation that Nagito didn’t even felt safe calling his own classmates, Matsuda and everyone else over the years as friends hit him particularly hard. As Nagito rejects the label friends with him the most due to the fact he doesn’t have talent, and therefore more valuable to his luck. At least in his mind. He already was considering signing up for the Izuru Kamukura project. And he would’ve anyways, but after witnessing Nagito’s breakdown, he was especially inclined to agree. Chiaki and Servant formed an unhealthy codependency on each other after the apocalypse happened. The former growing to hate Izuru and the latter trying to rid of a nameless boy from his mind. Komaeda-kun was the last to fall into despair, and this devastates Chiaki, who clings onto the hope that he could be saved, and so stays with him, refusing to call him by that dehumanising name given to him. Nanami-sama’s hope was admirable to him, even a bit despairing as it reminded him of himself before *she* opened his eyes, so he keeps her around and essentially takes care of her and makes sure she lives. Chiaki wishes desperately that she and her classmates had been kinder, more patient and more understanding to Komaeda before, that they had been more like Hajime and that they had also care more for the two of them, thinking that maybe if they had, some of the damages could’ve been avoided. Servant sees Nagito Komaeda as a pitiful human being, silently despairing yet reaching out desperately for hope. Hope that he was too cowardly to achieve, hope that he could never create, hope that he could never bring. For he was just a faux Ultimate. Nagito Komaeda is dead, and he is growing irritated at being referred by that name from Matsuda, from Nanami. While Toko has mix feelings, as since their killing game ended, they slowly began to gain their memories of their school years back, which reveals to her that she never liked Togami like that, it was just a coping mechanism during the killing game.After escaping from the hotel and a dangerous and scary woman, Mikan, Komaru stumbles upon the trio, where after some prodding, Togami reveals Makoto’s plan to capture and rehabilitate.Upon realising two of these people must be her brother’s classmates she’d hear, she volunteers to help out, trusting her brother and his intentions. Literally everyone turns her down, because not only is it unsafe to put a untrained civilian on such a dangerous mission, but also because it is irresponsible.However they then get interrupted by a sudden attack, separating Toko, Syo & Komaru from Togami & Mitarai. Instead of just befriending Chiaki, Hajime tried to befriend everyone in class 77-B. To various degrees of success, however we’re focusing on Soul Friends today. Kazuichi quickly took a liking to Hajime and stuck by his side, and at first this annoyed and surprised him, as he was completely different from Chiaki. But he grown used to him as time moved on, enjoying his company and trying to understand him better. Which excites Kazuichi more, as he didn’t really got along with most of the boys in his class.Nekomaru was cool, but he made Kazuichi feel more insecure about himself, Ryota was fine but something felt off about him and Fuyuhiko was cool but he’a kinda afraid of him. The story before third scene, the one where they’re holding hands, is that Hajime was running away from security, where he stumbles upon Kazuichi. Kazuichi is confused and tries to question him, but Hajime quickly grabs his hand and continues to run, telling him he’d explain later and to run! Once they’ve gotten a good distance away, Kazuichi asks questions while Hajime catches his breath. And is startled when Hajime laughs out loud, as it is the first time he’s seen and heard him laugh, and he looks beautiful doing so, solidifying Kazuichi’s feelings for him, which he still hasn’t realised. And it hurts, it hurts a lot when he first saw Izuru because that’s Hajime’s body, those are Hajime’s clothes, that’s Hajime’s voice but- but...But he’s gone, like everyone else. He left like everyone else and-And Kazuichi despaired. And he despaired so, so hard. He tires to remake a human, to be like Hajime, to be with him once more. But none of the body parts even feels right, none of them are as warm and safe as his hand was.
