themanbatmanHey there, I hope everyone is well and are gearing up for the TDKR Teaser that's hitting with Harry Potter tomorrow (tonight at midnight). "Signs" are pointing to it being a good one. ;) Also, to everyone heading to Potter at midnight tonight (myself included), enjoy!
Now, just a quick description here. I intended for the last trailer I did for The Batman Complex to be my last entry for the project, but that all changed when I heard Peter Gabriel's cover of "My Body Is A Cage." A few days ago, I read that it would be with the new John Carter trailer (which hit today). Being familiar with the original, I listened to it, and immediately thought of one thing: I need to do something for The Batman Complex with it. I think it's an awesome piece, and really fits the mood and tone of the project. I think that the few words that I've included perfectly fit the subject matter, and it just meshes with the imagery so nicely.
Anyhow, there's not too much that's actually new here, save for the final sequence. Seeing as we've got a lot of the backstory covered in the first two trailers, I thought it'd be good to quickly jump to the good stuff. Again, most of it is composed of extended bits of what we've seen, but to be honest, I just REALLY wanted to use the song to delve even further into the bleak, disturbing undertones of the story. In many ways, I think of this as the "Oscar bait" trailer, however, I doubt Oscar would go for something like this... :D
As always, enjoy! :)

Hey everyone, I hope that all is well. In a very rare event, I found myself with a bit of free editing time, and was in the mood to cut together a short promo for the upcoming Oscars. Unfortunately, despite wanting to give it a go this year, I didn't have enough time to attempt one of those big, end of year "cinema tributes" that so many cut together. As such, I used this video to sort of fill that personal void. That said, this is indeed Oscar-centric, and therefore adheres to the nominated films only (as opposed to covering all of cinema).
Anyhow, I tried to include a variety of the different nominated films, but as with any flowing and structured video, there needed to be some cuts. I was also pretty against using the Skrillex remix, just because of how overused it is, but it fit too well to excise it. That, and the fact that the big techno beat with Rooney, following the other four nominated actresses, was just too sweet to ignore.
Finally, the text and the actual title design were based on this poster (link below), which I tried to replicate in video form as best as I could:
As always, enjoy, and feel free to spread and share. Would certainly be nice to flip on ABC one day and see this thing running on TV. :)

Well...it's been a while. I'll try to keep this short and sweet. :)
For a really long time now (at least a year), I've been conceptualizing this tribute in my mind, and since early July, I've been piecing it together ever so slowly. I know the initial teaser mentioned that it was going to be released in the winter, but I really didn't want to hold off any longer. I've had placeholder footage in for Deathly Hallows Part 2, and my desire to finally finish was definitely triggered by the Blu-ray/DVD release last Friday - not to mention all of the amazing behind-the-scenes content that has cropped up in the past few weeks. Plus, I thought it would be nice to work extra hard to get it out on the one-year anniversary of the release of Deathly Hallows Part 1. The beginning of the end, as so many have put it.
So, I'll leave it at that, as you know a much more lengthy and detailed description will come packed with the full tribute on Saturday. ;)
Until then...

Hey everyone, I hope that all is well with you and that the summer hasn't gone by too quickly.
Here's a quick look at something special I'll have coming up, and it will pretty much be my focus until I finally release it. I will, naturally, be waiting until DH Part 2 is released to complete this, hence the winter release date. I wanted to get this teaser out yesterday (one month since DH Part 2 came out in theaters), but due to some unforeseen circumstances, it had to wait until today.
Essentially, the project is a massive tribute to the Harry Potter series. I've been planning this for quite a long time, and it's probably the biggest editing project I've undertaken. I'm really excited to finally announce it. Here are some details:
It will utilize YouTube's new(ish) 15 minute upload limit pretty much right up until the last second. There will be about 2.5 minutes devoted to a prologue and epilogue (this teaser is a modified version of the prologue, with the addition of the titles), and 1.5 minutes devoted to each of the eight films (or 3 minutes for DH as a whole). At least one track from each film's score has been laid out, giving each composer a chance to shine. In all honesty, the music is a real driving force behind the video.
All in all, I think it will be a nice look back at the whole series, and I hope you all enjoy it as much as I have working (and continuing to work) on it.
See you with the full video this winter! :)

That should probably explain the addition to the title of this video. :D

Hey everyone, hope all is well with you. I just wanted to thank you all again for the awesome comments on most recent Batman Complex trailer. It's great to see it spark up such a conversation. :)
Here's a quick video I put together for fun, as a bit of a personal challenge. I wanted to see if I could hype myself up even more for TDKR, by making a short, one minute announcement trailer (not even a tease...this is much less than that, LOL) with no footage substitutes; i.e. using Bronson footage for Bane.
I've been mulling over the thought for a while, but what pushed me to do it was all of the fake news, photos, videos, etc. that have come out recently. Never have I seen a film with so many trolls attached to it. :D
So, this video's just for fun, and hopefully you guys get as excited as I was while making/watching it. No shaky, faux bootlegs here. ;)
Also, a BIG shoutout to Andrew Kramer over at VideoCopilot.net, for providing some of the files that made the logo sequence possible. If you're into After Effects, compositing, motion graphics, etc., his site is definitely one you need to check out. Really great stuff over there.
Anyhow, that's about that. Shorter description than usual I think. As always, enjoy!

Just wanted to thank everyone once again for all the awesome comments and support I received for the teaser trailer posted back in February. I'm thrilled that the concept was able to resonate with so many, as that's what it's really all about; sharing in the idea with fellow fans.
And so, as promised, this is the follow up to the teaser. Here we have a full length (well, a bit longer than the norm, but hey, what can you do...hahaha) theatrical trailer that delves a little deeper into the story behind The Batman Complex. As explained in the teaser, the gist of the idea revolves around a few fun topics, mainly the whole "what is real?" train of thought, and also every fans desire, deep down or upfront, to be Batman at least once in their lives. LOL. And so, I tried to craft a story where we see what happens when someone takes their dream of being Batman a little bit too far. An idea, after all, is a truly resilient parasite. ;)
While some of it is still left a bit ambiguous (both unintentionally and intentionally - while there's only so much that can be strung together, I often like to leave a little bit open so as to see what fellow fans are able to imagine/create), I believe it offers a bit more than the teaser. As you might be able to tell, the theatrical trailer takes on less of a "horror" vibe than the teaser. For this extended look, I wanted to focus more on the character aspects (and a bit of the tragedy as well), and attempt to move past the initial shock of the psychological twist. One aspect I tried to hint at was the paralleling descent of both Bruce and Cobb. As Cobb and the team go deeper into Bruce's mind, they start to encounter the truly dark issues that his subconscious houses. As a result, Cobb himself gets caught up in the obsession of all that lingers in the mind of a Batman. There are a couple fun things in there that are best left to surprise, but all in all, I'm relatively happy with how it turned out. It's fairly fast paced and doesn't leave much room to breath, which helps amplify the tension I think. But that's just me. I hope it works just as well as the teaser did.
As for the future of the project, I'm not sure what's next. I don't think I'll do a second theatrical trailer. Maybe a couple of TV spots, but other than that, I think I'll let this one remain as it is. We'll see. Perhaps I'll be further inspired by some other ideas that'll come to me in a dream... ;)
As always, enjoy! :)

Just wanted to wish everyone a happy new year (late, how typical of me), and extend a big thanks once again for all of the WSAYO III Finale support. The entire three year project was a blast, and I'm glad to have shared it with you guys.
And so, here's something new. I don't want to say too much about it, as this is just a teaser (and it really is just that), but this is a fun project I've been mulling over for a while. I've been meaning to do something with the many characters of Bale for a long time (originally started on a trailer TWO YEARS AGO!), but I always pushed it aside for WSAYO. Now, revisiting it, I've decided to go in a much darker direction than I initially intended.
Anyhow, the gist of the idea revolves around a few fun topics, mainly the whole "what is real?" train of thought, and also every fans desire, deep down or upfront, to be Batman at least once in their lives. LOL. And so, I tried to craft a story where we see what happens when someone takes their dream of being Batman a little bit too far. An idea, after all, is a truly resilient parasite. ;)
I'll let you guys draw conclusions about the rest, but I think, unlike WSAYO, I'll actually post a little synopsis or something whenever I get the chance to do a theatrical trailer. Speaking of which, this won't be a mega campaign, but I do intend for it to eventually house two theatrical trailers, and maybe a few TV spots. I have to admit, it's been fun doing something different (this type of trailer is REALLY different compared to what I've done before), and I look forward to doing more when I get the chance.
As always, enjoy! :)

Apologies for the inconvenience.Which Side Are You On? Chapter III - Finale Part 1themanbatman2010-12-24 | Ummmm....hi.
How's everyone doing? As I'm sure only a few of you have noticed, I've kinda been AWOL for a little while now. I'm not really going to get into specifics, but I've been incredibly, incredibly, incredibly, incredibly busy. Since the last video (three months ago), I have literally ZERO time to edit, let alone do much of anything (again, I know I've yet to reply to a lot of people, nor have I commented on some of the great stuff that's come from a bunch of you guys in the last few months, and for that I am really sorry). Seeing as it is the holiday season, I have acquired a little bit of time now, and I've immediately set out to work on translating my lingering finale ideas into actual clips. The ideas have been in place for a while, but the time to edit has been virtually non-existent. So, here's the lowdown:
Normally I would have released all the clips together, but in all honesty, the "Opening" is the only one that is done. Also, being 100% truthful, I'm near ready to move on from WSAYO. I have an interesting idea that will provide for a few trailers, and I really want to tackle it when I get the chance. I also need to get working on a non-Youtube edit that will occupy a lot of my time. Again, all of these luxuries are if time permits. After this video, there will indeed be a Part 2 to the "Finale," but that will be it. I'm not entirely sure if I'll be able to do one continuous battle sequence like last time, so there might end up being a few short, rough clips of various fights throughout. No guarantees yet on when I'll have Part 2 done either, but, for my own sake, I'm hoping sooner than later. Also, there will also be one more WSAYO video down the road, but it will be a retrospective of sorts.
In the Part 2 video, I'll say my proper good-bye to the series and unleash all the thanks and the tears. I know, I'm quite the baby. For those looking for something fun though, take a look at your calendar, and then peruse the previous dates of my WSAYO videos. Some how it all comes back here, huh? ;)
As always, try to enjoy it. I will say that although somewhat similar to what was done for Chapter II (starting somewhere in the middle of the film and going back), this Opening is quite different for the series. I tried to make all of them unique in their own ways. I think it fits the overall tone that was established for Chapter III throughout the yearlong campaign, and I hope you feel that way too. :)
P.S. I apologize for a few of the glitchy parts in the vid. Some are intentional, but you might notice a couple that clearly aren't. Now on a Mac, I decided to try my hand at Final Cut Pro, and for some reason, the program often had trouble reading and rendering the movie files. For the most part, everything looks fine though...I think.

Here's a link to the DVD and BluRay promo image shown at the end:
Once more, I'd like to note that I apologize to those who have contacted me and have yet to receive a response. I'm still involved in a large project outside of YouTube (among other things, namely a little thing called 'life,' LOL), and it's eating up most of my time, not to mention a couple other things that have come up as of late. So I hope you guys can understand. When everything settles down (I sound like a broken record, so I hope it's soon), I promise I'll get back to you all.
And so, here's Spot 15 - the DVD and BluRay spot. Not only is this the final TV spot for Chapter III, but it's the final TV spot for WSAYO as a whole. As such, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to make the last WSAYO spot ever a 60 second extended spot. It's pretty sad to have finally reached the end, especially after going through a grand total of 44 TV spots before this one (with this one rounding off the total 45).
Many will notice that the musical piece fits with my goal to include all overused pieces/forgotten pieces/personal faves in the final campaign. 'Lacrimosa' is definitely in the top 5 of overused pieces (probably only second to 'Lux Aeterna' from Requiem for a Dream), and ever since Chapter I, I always planned on it being the last piece for the last TV spot ever. Simply put, when the Spidey 2 trailer first released, I was in awe. It was probably my favorite trailer ever at the time, and I owe a lot of my interest in trailers and editing to it. A large part of all that was the score, which I remember humming to myself all the time after watching the trailer. Thus, it holds great sentimental value to be featured as the last piece used.
And now, as I've said, and I'm being perfectly honest, this is probably gonna be it for WSAYO III for a while. I've been trying to judge how much time I have available to work on the "Finale," and I really do not have a lot of legroom to work with. I will keep saying, however, that I promise that there will be something, I just can't guarantee what and when. I've barely had any time to work on these last few spots, so I don't know when I'm gonna get the chance to do the final vid. Long story short, it will come...at some point in the future. This time this isn't some ruse or cruel joke by me. I really do not know when I will get the chance to do it, and do it well. That's the key. I don't care how long it takes, but I'm not posting it until I'm completely satisfied with it. Who knows...it could take until December 23, which would be kind of neat, seeing as it would make the campaign literally one year long. LOL ;)
I'd also like to note that it's nice to have the final spot go out today, September 24, the premiere for the final season of Smallville. For the Smallville fans out there, I hope you enjoy tonight's premiere, and here's to an awesome final season!
Although this is not the final farewell for WSAYO (there's still one more video...well, actually two, but I can't tell you about the last one...errr...I shouldn't have said anything...LOL), it is goodbye for a little while (until the Finale is released). From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who has made this experience the experience of a lifetime. Now, the end of WSAYO does not signify the end for me and my YouTube 'career,' but it would be foolish to not acknowledge the fact that it is a big deal for me. WSAYO has been a big part of me for the last three years, and again, I want to thank you all for sharing in the experience with me. :)
Ohhhhh....
....and of course....

.....enjoy!

In addition, I'm sorry to those who messaged me about getting their names in as "critics" for this spot. The spot was finished before I was able to read the messages, and, as with both Chapter I and II, there were "reserved places" for some old friends. I hope you guys can appreciate that, as there are only so many names that can be included.
And so, here's Spot 14. By now the movie is "Now Playing" and the critics have given it the greatest reviews ever. You know how it works. LOL :D
After this, which will most likely be by next week, Spot 15 is the "DVD and BluRay" spot. To be honest, that's gonna be it for WSAYO III for a while. I've been trying to judge how much time I have available to work on the "Finale," and I really do not have a lot of legroom to work with. So, regarding this spot, you should know the drill by now. Spot 13 is an extended, 60 sec spot. It is the "Tomorrow" spot, which basically means that it's the final spot that would be released before the film opens in theaters. I'd also like to note that I've been waiting since Chapter I to use "Rising Empire." In fact, it was going to be the final piece in Chapter I's Theatrical A. But it just never really fit until now. It totally works for the epic scope of Chapter III. One of my favorite pieces ever.
After this, whenever it may come, Spot 14 is the "Reviews Spot" and Spot 15 is the "DVD and BluRay" spot. In terms of a "Finale" video, as I've said, I promise that there will be something, I just can't guarantee what and when. I've barely had any time to work on these last few spots, so I don't know when I'm gonna get the chance to do the final vid. I'm currently involved in a large project outside of YouTube, and it's eating up most of my time, so I hope you guys can understand. When everything settles down, I'll get back to you all.
So, regarding this spot, you know the drill. Spot 12 works opposite Spot 11 as a "This Friday" spot, with Spot 13 acting as the one minute "Tomorrow" spot, Spot 14 as the "Reviews Spot" and Spot 15 as the "DVD and BluRay" spot. In terms of a "Finale" video, I promise that there will be something, I just can't guarantee what and when. Like I said, I've barely had any time to work on these last few spots, so I don't know when I'm gonna get the chance to do the final vid. The good news is that I pretty much know exactly what I want to string together. The bad news is that I have no idea when I'm going to get the chance to actually take a crack at it. Not to mention the fact that it will require some extensive work. So, long story short, it will come...at some point in the future (hopefully near future). LOL.
And of course, as always, enjoy!

The final theatrical trailer. Not just for Chapter III, but for WSAYO. it's a sad, but monumental day. This trailer, clocking in at nearly 4 minutes, holds nothing back. I broke all the rules and just decided, "This is it, let's go full out." It's basically everything you've seen before, with a few added bonuses and extensions. The first half is all tense and serves as a setup, whereas the final minute and a bit is basically an "assault" of visuals. It was a fun one to make, and I actually started to piece a bit of it together before I had even finished Theatrical Trailer A. I think it does a serviceable job of going out with a "BANG!" and I feel that it's a great companion to Trailers A and B. Every trailer feels relatively the same, almost as if each one were leading into the next. Obviously not the traditional approach to trailers, but these trailers have never been about tradition. It's always been about trying to tell the story. I hope it worked. :)
And once again, I think you'll notice that the last song in the trailer adheres to my "overused trailer music" outlook on Chapter III. I haven't seen the final piece used in a while, but there was definitely a point where it was used ad nauseum. Even after not showing up for a while, my inclusion of it will still probably rub some people the wrong way. LOL. I've always loved it though and it was always gonna be the piece for the final trailer. It's just epic in many, many ways.
So, the journey towards the end is almost officially at a close. TV spots 11 - 15 are up next. Of course there's no use fooling you guys into thinking that I won't do a "Finale" vid, I'm just not sure when it will be ready. I'm in the middle of a large, non-YouTube related project right now, so it could be a while. I'm trying my best though. :)
And of course...
As always, enjoy! :)

First off, I'd like to thank everyone who commented on the TDK/Inception trailer. It's received some great reception, and I think all of the comments have been really awesome and supportive. Thanks again everyone. :)
So, this spot kicks off Wave 2 of the spots (spots 6 - 10). Basically, it's an extended spot that covers all that was highlighted in Theatrical B. Seeing as that trailer was put on a while ago, I figured that this would be a nice refresher.
In terms of timeline, yes, things are slow, but I'm doing my best. I'm actually doing slightly better than last year, if you compare where I am now in Chapter III, to where I was last year in Chapter II. There are still 9 spots and Theatrical Trailer C on the horizon. Here's to a big finish. :)
As always, enjoy!

No...this isn't part of WSAYO Chapter III. I apologize to those who were expecting something else as my next upload. Don't worry though...it's coming. We'll pick up things again soon. I know I've sort of disappeared, but you should expect that from me by now. :)
So, after watching the BRILLIANTLY AWESOME new Inception trailer for the 600th time, an idea sort of clicked in my head. This is a trailer for TDK, set in the style of the recent Inception trailer - music, titles, etc. This isn't TDK scenes spliced over the Inception trailer - this truly does serve as a trailer for TDK that'll maybe make you wanna go back and revisit the film, or remember why you liked it (or didn't, LOL). Anyhow, I liked the idea and I think it turned out alright. It's a little rough in some places, but I really did want to get back to WSAYO...so I didn't slave over it. :)
It was definitely fun to put together, and honestly, July 16 can't get here fast enough. Bring on Inception!
As always, enjoy!

So, first thing's first. In case you missed my confession, the last video was an April Fool's joke. Several of you were able to crack the number code at the end (that must have taken a whole lot of Pause-Play fast clicking), and see that it was all a joke. You can head on over to the video to read my confession, as there were a few ways that you would have been able to discern that I wasn't serious. That said, I hope no one took too much offense. I was just trying to have some fun, cause I don't usually do anything for April Fools Day. :)
Next, I must congratulate those who cracked the "DCJ" clue. Everyone was focused on the April Fools part of the video, when, in actuality, DCJ was much more important to WSAYO. In case you still don't get it, the clue was solved the opposite way the April Fools message was cracked: assigning a numerical value to the letters of the alphabet. D = 4 . C = 3 . J = 10 . This adds up to: 4/3/10 or April 3, 2010. Which is today. Crazy Da Vinci code stuff, I know. ;)
So, with this second theatrical trailer, there is a lot going on. I don't really want to spoil much in the description, so I'll leave it for you to discover when you watch. I will say that back when Theat A was out, you may remember that I was really pumping up Theat C. After some thought, quite a bit of what was going to be saved for Theat C was included here, so as to not make you have to wait forever. :)
And I think you'll notice that the last song in the trailer adheres to my "overused trailer music" outlook on Chapter III. It's hard to believe that up until this point, no WSAYO video in ANY campaign has been set to what is possibly the most overused trailer song ever (definitely in the top 5).
So, the journey towards the end continues. TV spots 6 - 10 are up next (not sure when exactly...) and then we go from there. I've said it before and I'll say it again: let's have some fun with this thing before it dies. :)
As always, enjoy!

I'm not gonna take up much of the description, because most of what I want to say is in the video. Watch it and read it through. Please. Hopefully you'll understand where I'm coming from.
Yes, I know this seems out of the blue, but something has happened very recently that I cannot avoid. I threw this video together as fast as I could, because, as you'll read in the video, my editing time is waning to the point of no return.
As I mention in the video, I do apologize to all the fans who will be disappointed by this. It's killing me, but I really don't have any other options. I don't want to divulge the specifics, so if you could refrain from asking, I'd really appreciate it.
This will be my last video on YouTube for a while. Maybe forever. Naturally, it took hours to encode and got mucked up and jittery in the end. Fitting send out from YouTube eh? Just my luck.
Anyways, again, I am so sorry. Please read it through and try to understand to the best of your abilities, and hopefully we'll see each other again some day.
Take care everyone,

Final spot before the next trailer which will come...eventually. LOL. Obviously not a rock or character spot. More of an adrenaline pumping, all-encompassing spot that focuses on mostly everyone, and it works as a nice segue into the next trailer. Plus, I've been dying to use the song for ages.

Another song that has had it's fair share of use, but I like it anyways. A spot that centers around our new X-men and mutant characters. The next spot will also be character oriented.
And yeah, this spot is about 2 seconds too long. But I wanted to prolong the title at the end just because the guitar during that bit is so awesome. Hehehe. :)

So...you knew this spot had to coming. I figured since everyone and their grandmother have been using the song, that I'd just be done with it as well. Ever since I heard it in the Clash of the Titans trailer, I knew I would use it for a rock spot, and so, here it is. :)
What I like about this spot, is that it parallels TV Spot 1. Both have no dialogue and both use the music to tell a story. The difference, obviously, is that Spot 1 is all about emotion and dread, whereas this one is high-octane action.
As always, enjoy. ;)

Well...here we go again.
First of all, I'd like to thank everyone once again for all of your awesome comments on Theatrical A. I really, truly appreciate it. After three campaigns, it's great to see that the enthusiasm has not dwindled a bit.
So, here we have our first TV spot of the campaign, and it's actually an extended 60 second spot. I figured that if Chapter I had one, Chapter II had two, it'd be only fitting if I gave Chapter III three 60 second spots. You can expect the other extended spots in their usual places.
I quite like this spot, simply because there's not much to it. No dialogue, one straight song and all power lies in the visuals. Obviously the words line up perfectly with the theme (wrestling fans will recognize the song, which I've been planning on using for Chapter III for a long time now), and I think it just works well on a visual and thematic level. Spots 2 - 4 will also be rock themed, with spot 5 shifting us into gear for Theatrical B. The updates should be relatively faster now (I won't say how much is done...but some stuff is done), however, they will eventually slow down.
That's all for now.
As always, enjoy. ;)

Alright, today is February 15, 2010, and as hinted at, the 1st WSAYO Chapter III theatrical trailer is here. Congratulations to those who figured out the date of the release from my previous video. Although the intent of the video was to tease the trailer in a subtle way, there was some truth behind it, as I have been experiencing some computer trouble lately. While it's nothing totally major, it could end up resulting in a bit of a delay for the rest of the campaign. Nothing horrible though.
So, with this first theatrical trailer, there is a lot, and I mean A LOT going on. Like with the first two campaigns, I'm using this first trailer as somewhat of a precursor to everything. What I mean is that a lot of the time is spent setting up all the different chains branching from the story line. This now allows me to focus more on the individual plots in the next trailers, because I don't really need to introduce everything all over again. I tried to get in a little bit of everything into this trailer, but, and I mean this when I say this, you really haven't seen anything yet. Trailers B and C are going to expand big time on what is introduced here. Think of this like a teaser for the next theatrical trailers. LOL.
On that note, I'll mention that all three theatrical trailers are going to be over 3 minutes this time around, with the 3rd one closing in on 3.5. That's just the way it's going to be. It's the final campaign, and I'm not screwing around. Besides, Avatar had that awesome 3.5 minute trailer, so I don't feel so bad. LOL. Also, I should mention that I'm going to try to make these as epic as humanly possible, which means that you're going to be hearing some of what I call "over-used trailer music" in the final trailers. I don't care. LOL. I've been saving those pieces for this, they're epic in their own right and they fit for the finale.
So, the journey towards the end continues. TV spots 1 - 5 are up next (fans of some of the "rock" spots should be happy...hint hint...) and then we go from there. Let's have some fun with this thing before it dies. :)
As always, enjoy!

Alright, today is December 23, 2009, and as promised, the WSAYO Chapter III teaser is here. Like with Chapter II's teaser, I did something a little different than usual. I figured that we've already had enough of those little 60-90 second teases, and I felt it would be appropriate to do a longer teaser. That said, this still functions exactly like a true teaser should - you feel like you're getting a lot, when in essence, all that you are left with is more questions. Of course...that is the intent. ;)
This is the big kickstart to the final WSAYO campaign. Now, it's not like this will end my run of videos on YouTube, but it will be the finale to the entire trilogy that I've been working on for the past two years. It's going to be a long, mysterious, emotional and epic ride!
As always, enjoy!
PS: For those that didn't pick up on the significance of the date, exactly two years ago (Dec 23, 2007), the first ever video associated with WSAYO was uploaded to my account, and exactly one year ago (Dec 23, 2008), the Chapter II teaser hit. I tend to be sentimental about these things. :)

Alright, I know it was terrible making you guys think that the last spot was the last piece of work I would do for the campaign, and I know it sucks that you left all those wonderful, "end-of-campaign" comments on what was not the last video...but for the looks on your faces now, I think I can safely say it was worth it. For those who weren't fooled and had a feeling that there would be something more...well done, very well done. ;)
Now, unfortunately, because my description ends up being so damn long, YouTube won't let me post it. Grrrrr! So, and this is really important to me, you can read the description as it was meant to be read at this link:

So, firstly I would like to send out a huge, HUGE thank you to "montage" from the SuperHeroHype boards, for creating the Clark/Lex and Bruce/Lionel illustrations. When making the cover, I decided that I wanted to try and use some original illustrations for the design, however, I was plagued by the fact that I cannot draw for my life. LOL. So, I went looking for an artist, and noticed that montage had done some incredible Smallville pieces in the past (for more of his work, check out this thread:
So, I thank him for pulling off such incredible pieces in the short period of time that I gave him, as well a persevering through all of my nagging. LOL. Thanks again buddy.
Secondly, the cover itself was designed by me in Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. and then completely pieced together by me. I had montage send me the bare bones illustrations he drew, and then I filled in all of the rest: Surfer, Zod symbol, the case, the title, the spine, perspective, the effects on the illustrations (ie: Clark and Lex's blurred trails), etc. If you want a better look at the covers that I designed, check out this link:
That will give you a larger look at the final shot of the covers from the TV spot.

Chapter II - Theatrical Trailer Cthemanbatman2009-08-13 | WATCH IN HD FOR THE FULL EXPERIENCE!
Well....SURPRISE!
Hahaha. I know that both Theatrical Trailers A and B had little "promos" that hinted at when they were coming, however, I figured that it would be fun to upload this one spur of the moment and see what happened. I know, I know...madness. LOL
Anyhow, few things:
1) Once again, yes...it's WAY too long. I know it should be at least 10 - 15 seconds shorter, however, seeing as this could be the last full length WSAYO trailer for a while (yeah, Chapter III will take some time to start), I didn't really want to skimp on anything. Also, I happened to be in the habit of watching old theatrical trailers and noticed that they were quite lengthy, so the duration of this trailer is a tribute to all of the old previews that graced movie screens. Hahaha. And although it pushes over 3 minutes, it does go by quite quickly.
2) As you will notice after watching the video, the style is vastly different from the other two Theatrical Trailers. While Theatrical A and B are great in their own element, there was not much of a difference between them (aside from new footage and length). They both had the same (more or less) structure. This trailer, however, is structured differently, so that it adheres to the "epicness" that I've been trying to produce during the campaign. Additionally, you'll notice a lot of new footage intertwined with the familiar scenes. I didn't want to waste much time re-inserting the same stuff into the trailer, and instead opted to add some new plot points and more intimate dialog. Due to this, the only real storyline that suffers is the Veritas arc, but don't worry, most of the familiar climactic sequences remain intact.
Anyhow, after this, as per usual, there will be another 5 TV spots, but, if you're familiar with the first campaign, you'll know that they aren't your average spots. That's all I'll say on that matter. ;)
And of course, as always...enjoy! :)

For this spot, I felt it was nice to produce a throwback to the old teasers that were created for WSAYO II. Simple, eery, and effective.
