For this breakfast we've added chives to the eggs for extra flavor and crisped our toast in the bacon leftovers (nope, not the healthiest, but oh-so-good)! Since we had one burner, we used cast iron pans to hold the heat/keep things warm. Ingredients includes oil, eggs, chives, bacon and sliced bread. We also used the nCamp Multi-fuel Stove and Prep Surface.

The nCamp Food Prep Knife is a high-quality knife that elevates your outdoor cooking experience. It is designed for those who might venture into the backcountry, but also for everyday use; barbeque in the backyard or park, picnics and even daily use in the kitchen (at home or a cabin).
The Chef blade is based on a classic western utility knife and is useful for all kinds of cutting and slicing. While the Santoku is based on a classic Japanese utility knife and includes scalloped blade helps keep slices from sticking to the blade and the broad surface is ideal for scooping and moving ingredients.
The Premium Knives have a blade made with 9Cr18MoV steel, which balances corrosion resistance, toughness and edge retention. It includes our signature cut-outs, which reduce material (and weight) at the widest part of the blade without impacting performance or comfort when applying pressure to the spine. They also provide a bit of an edge, allowing you to flick the blade open with your thumb.
This knife has a light-colored beech wood handle, which is durable and simple. The handle shape is designed for a comfortable secure grip that allows for a variety of gripping styles. It is scalloped at the balance point, allowing for a gradual transition between the handle and blade. Fasteners are flush-mounted, so there aren’t any annoying bumps and we minimized holes, which tend to collect crud. The top of the handle is closed, making it comfortable to hold and very rigid. The handle/blade relationship allows full use of the blade edge and enough clearance to keep your knuckles from banging into the cutting surface. The frame incorporates a liner-lock which makes the blade very secure when opened.
The Premium Edition Knives include a durable nylon drawstring bag. Designed in the USA.

The video was shot at Spice Acres in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
Recipe (yield - 4 portions):
Ingredients: • 4 cups water, chicken or mushroom stock • 4-6 grinds of black pepper • ½-1 tsp. Kosher Salt • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter • 2 tablespoons olive oil • ¼ cup diced carrot • ¼ cup finely minced onions • 1 pound fresh wild mushrooms, trimmed, cleaned and sliced (only use mushrooms you know are safe to eat) • 1 ½ cups Arborio rice • ¼ cup white wine • ¾ cup freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese • 1 tsp. fresh thyme • 1TBS fresh Parsley • 1TBS diced carrot stems
Directions:
• Place stock in a heavy saucepan, and over medium heat bring to a simmer, leave to simmer very slightly.
• Meanwhile, in a larger saucepan over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon butter in olive oil. When foam subsides, add wild mushrooms and allow to brown.
• Add onions, and cook, stirring frequently, until softened and yellow but not browned.
• Add rice to mushrooms, and cook, stirring to coat well, with butter and oil.
• Deglaze with wine and cook down to au sec. (almost dry)
• Add approximately 3/4 cup of simmering stock to rice and mushrooms. Stir well and continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until rice has absorbed most of stock. Continue adding stock to rice by the half-cupful, adding only after rice has absorbed previous addition. As cooking continues, you will have to stir more frequently. After 25 to 30 minutes, all the stock should be absorbed, and rice should be tender but still chewy.
• Remove from heat. Add salt and pepper to taste. Stir in remaining butter and 1/4 cup of Parmigiano-Reggiano.
• Garnish with a few leaves of parsley, fresh thyme and the diced carrot stems and a sprinkle of fresh Parmesan cheese.

We added rosemary, but you can substitute other herbs for aroma and flavor. The ingredients travel well and the nCamp Multi-fuel Stove and Prep Surface help make preparation easy.
Ingredients: 3/4 cup of flour (whole wheat or white, your choice) 1/2 tsp of baking powder 1/2 tsp of salt 1 sprig of rosemary, remove leaves from stem and chop 1/2 cup of water 1 tbsp of olive oil
- Mix dry ingredients and rosemary, then add water and mix into a batter. - Heat the olive oil in a pan on the nCamp Stove (low heat with the gas adapter). - Pour batter into the pan and spread it out. - Cook about 3 minutes on each side (or until lightly browned) and serve.
(If you’re car camping, you can use a heavier skillet such as a cast-iron pan to cook flatbreads more efficiently; spreading a little oil on one face of the bread when it’s on the pan makes it crispier.)
