TUGS - The Bridge Cafe Band - NO SFX MKtheinstrumentalist 2019-04-06 | I spent literally all of today on this, lost most of it, started over, and finally finished it at what is currently 4am. A little late for the festivities of the 30th anniversary, but I think we can all agree that this really is VERY nice music... Pretty much the only SFX I wasn't able to fully remove here was a little bit of the gurgling water as Grampus moves - but getting the fireworks out of the end honestly came out far better than I'd ever hoped.

A couple of things are still barely audible like a few clangs near the beginning, but I've finally found a way of getting rid of that cursed puffing. Gordons FULL S1 theme - FIXED INSTRUMENTAL MKtheinstrumentalist 2016-10-02 | Technically my second Collab' instrumental - Now with 100% less whistles! ;-DI've been tweaking this for a LONG time. Whilst I have spent a lot of effort smoothing and restoring the audio between the different clips, it's almost completely sourced from TinyGordon's instrumental from ages ago (he graciously gave me permission to use it, for which I am VERY thankful) and the intro I was sent only the other day by my good friend OliverGWR11 - apparently HE got it from Thomas Fan Forever, so credit goes to him for that! The new middle bit from Whistles & Sneezes was actually the only bit completely of my own doing, if only because nobody else has ever included it before.The only thing I think could possibly be improved is if I could somehow re-source all the clips from this in Stereo - however, that seems extremely unlikely at present, but... who knows what could happen? ;-DThought I couldn't in good consciousness pass my 777-sub milestone without putting up something 'Thomas' - I can't believe I haven't for over 5 months! My apologies...
Charlie Browns All Stars - Baseball Theme - Lost Soundtracks MKtheinstrumentalist 2016-10-01 | This... This was a pain to edit. It is by no means a true representation of the original arrangement. I'm only putting it up because I know what little I salvaged from my tattered recording is insanely rare (and it also sounds so... jazzy). XDThe thing about this track is that I was working solely from the original dubbing track of All-Stars - which meant all the original SFX were still there, too. Luckily the production of the earliest specials was so cheap they had barely any soundscape, so I was able to work around it for the most part... But with this track, it was a VERY big problem. The plethora of sound effects and limited repeats of clips (there was only ONE) meant that I actually lost large chunks of the original - namely a brass solo as well as a guitar solo (you can hear tiny vestiges of them at 1:15 - 1:18) - and those are only the bits I KNOW of. Seeing as I stitched this mess together from about 6 or 7 snippets heard in the final special, I have no idea what has been lost... or even if what I did end up with is even in the right order!...*sigh* Well, even after all that... I DID end up with a half-decent track, and smoothed it out as much I could. It's still one of the rarest tracks I have though. XD

I was never truly satisfied with my original version of this, but after listening to UnknownThomasFan01's absolutely amazing high-fidelity TUGS rips I could finally pick out all the little details I was never sure about before - namely, that blasted clarinet scale at the end. Also added in some more strings, percussion and improved the baseline timbre a bit.

XD THUS we have a version of Edd's actually-pretty-swell Song completely uncompressed and restored in HQ... along with a few surprises of my own division... (I hope DeuceDeuce doesn't mind...)That said, I do appreciate how they've kept using the original file all these years... it's quite touching, really. :'-)(Filmora f*cked up the framerate - the walking was perfectly synced to the beat in the preview.. ) XP

This is what I'm going to call my long-overdue 700-sub special, seeing as this is the first thing I've had time to make an actual video of. Got some new software and I'm trying something a little more artistic. ;-)Marge Vs The Monorail - a perfect Simpsons episode. Many agree it's the best out of the entire show. However, one tiny, TINY change would've made it even better than what it already is.At the very end of the episode, the "anchor" skitters along the road, suddenly flings itself into the air and snags on the donut-shop's sign. Thing is, what caused it to bounce up like that? I went though frame by frame and they didn't give any indication as to what, but do you know what would've been absolutely perfect?If the anchor had bounced off a pothole in Main Street.Think about it. They brilliantly foreshadow how the roads are FULL of holes, and remind you of it throughout the episode, such as when the family leave the meeting and when the limo pulls roughly up to the station's opening ceremony. Then they just sort of forget about it for the rest of the episode...I'm convinced that this is actually what they fully intended, to the point where I'm going to call it a flat animation error that the anchor didn't hit a pothole. Its The Easter Beagle - Woodstock and Snoopy - Lost soundtracks MKtheinstrumentalist 2016-04-24 | This is actually an alternate take of a track called Snoopy and Woodstock - one of my favourite 'later' Guaraldi tracks.This was hard to make, but a lot of fun once I got the hang of it. As there were no vocals over this track, I could only work with what was identical to what was aired in the special - complete with sound effects. This meant I ended up actually editing the individual frequencies of the audio to get rid of the sound effects and isolate the music. It came out a lot better than I expected, apart from when I had to get rid of Woodstock's warbling, which left a little bit of a garble, but I hope it's not too noticeable. ;-)
Play It Again - A Beathoven Sonata - Lost soundtracks MKtheinstrumentalist 2016-04-24 | "Wait for it......" ;-)Many of you will recognise the first third of this as the music that plays on all the DVD menus of the old Peanuts Boxests. It's actually Beethoven's third piano sonata - the first movement, specificallly.This one I admit I patched up with recordings from another piano for when Snoopy falls asleep, as well as well as when the actual 'beat' comes in.
