Muhammad Dava Arvarabi
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (8-bit) - Green Hills Zone (Atari 8-bit Remix)
updated
Arsip 6 Juli 2022.
HB2000 air compressor had a more rougher note than the C2000M commonly used on other ex-Japanese EMU used here in Indonesia.
This partly due to its more open design, and faster compressing/rotating speed. Age might also take part in this, since Tokyu 8500 series were first built in 1975.
So for 10 minutes, starting on 12:00 AM til 12:10, all the train engines that were parked in Cipinang Rail Yard or Depot blows their horn in full power. It's loud, really loud. I wish you were here so you could hear it truly and enjoy the moment. The video file size itself is humongous, 2.2 gigs!
This hornfest is actually a tradition, continuing from the old Jatinegara depot annual horn-blowing fest before the depot itself got demolished and then replaced by Cipinang depot since 2018. The tradition was halted for 2020 and 2021 edition though, probably due to local lockdowns rule to prevent crowds.
100% unedited video (My PC won't handle a file size that big on Premiere Pro anyway lol)
A short edit and (sort-of) a summary to the 5-day absurd trip to Bandung in December 2022, full conspiracies and inside jokes. Bandung had a really great railway photographing spots.
I'd be glad to return here someday, the spot is just impeccable, I will go as far as Garut next time, to enjoy the scenery of Citiis Bridge in Nagreg, East Bandung.

Krontjong Orchest Eurasia - "Ajoen Ajoen"
A litte hello from the dark past of Indonesian, specifically Jakarta greater metropolitan area's railway system, where since 1925 have used electrified trains.
Though the usage of electric trains were halted in 1965, it came back in 1976 after the introduction of ED101 series produced by Nippon Sharyo and Kawasaki Heavy Industries.
This series will continue to operate for 37 years before him. and many of his other compatriots were retired due to lack of air-conditioning.
But everything seems so bright here, when did the dark part of Jakarta's railway actually starts? Well to answer that to you, it's either 1993 or 1994 after the Ratu Jaya train accident where two electric trains collide with each other and leaving only four cars usable.
Starting from this year, trains, not just electric trains were getting poor maintaince and treatment to them. Jammed doors, broken fans, people riding on top of the roof despite the danger, and so on...
This terrible sight of the railway lasted until September 2013, where PT. Kereta Api Indonesia and KRL Commuter Jabodetabek stopped using non-airconditioned economy class trains. Marking an end to an era where Indonesian railway were viewed poorly and unruly.
For the first time ever, I tried the Bekasi-Cikarang segment on the Cikarang Line.
This segment has long distance in-between every station, thus allowed speed up to 96 km/h, almost reaching the maximum designed top speed of JR 205 series which is 100 km/h.
Initially I wanted to ride the ex-Tokyu train once more, however I missed it because I was in the toilet upstairs in Kranji Station.
Though, most of the time the trains in this line don't reach that speed due to the short distances in between stations on the Jatinegara-Bekasi segment. Trains might be faster on the Bekasi-Cikarang segment, though, due to longer distances in between stations and longer headway in between trainsets.
The trainset I'm riding on is a Tokyu 8518, from the Tokyu 8500. These trains have faster acceleration than the JR 205 commonly servicing the Commuterline.
Tokyu 8500 series has 3.3 km/(h⋅s) acceleration while most JR 205 only has 1.7 km/(h⋅s) acceleration (excluding the JR205-5000 from Musashino Line.)

Bike convoys! Yes, they exist in GTA San Andreas. And the chance of them occuring is very low, some times they only happen when you ride certain vehicle. Their spawning location are also not pre-determined. (always random)
They always create a straight line, usually consists of four or more bikes. They move at the same speed at the same direction indefinitely until one of them dies or panicked.
Usually they ride on PCJ-600 or a BF-400, but this time since I am in countryside, I get an even rarer Freeway convoy. The chance of this happening is probably 0,5-2% in a normal playthrough.
Sorry for the bad quality, I recorded this with bandicam with MPEG4 AVI setup for lighter performance impact.

Tribute to Radek Štěrba (Raster). One of the greatest and prolific Atari chiptune artist from the 2000s, also the creator of Raster Music Tracker, a tool which I used to make Atari tunes on Windows.
Sadly Raster died in 28 July 2011, due to a tragic accident.
It is unknown what accident happened to him (Raster)
Most people said it was a railway accident, but some said it was a car accident.
But it doesn't matter. One more good person had to left this world on that day, too early on it, and it's saddening. The cycle will repeat until no one is left on this cruel world. Rest in Peace Mgr. Radek Štěrba, Rest in Peace.

Also, what is FLOP Magazin?
According to the website;
FLOP Magazin or Magazine FLOP is an electronic floppy disk-based "magazine" for Atari XL/XE computers.
The magazine deals with various topics related to the world of Atari 8-bit computers. The textual part includes news, interviews with famous personalities, information about events taking place, descriptions of programmes and hardware, guides for games or matters of interest for programmers. Furthermore, FLOP includes demos, utilities and games. In the past, the magazine also contained offers and reviews of literature, adverts, etc.
This mix included several tracks from several composers,
the earlier parts were mostly composed by Radek Štěrba himself,
but Flop Magazin 53-57 and 64 were composed by PG, while 58-60 were composed by Poison, and then the Flop Magazin 61 and 63 were composed by HardCore.
