Animal Rights Activists Violently AssaultedDirect Action Everywhere - DxE2017-08-30 | Animal rights activists are violently assaulted for speaking the truth, but they refuse to give up. Will you speak up, too?
Our new hidden camera investigation at the Superior Farms slaughterhouse in Denver, Colorado shows lambs are routinely dragged to the kill floor with broken limbs and dismembered while still conscious. These are blatant violations of the Humane Methods of Slaughter Act which prohibits mammals from being shackled, hoisted, thrown, cast, or cut without first being made insensible to pain.
Law enforcement agencies rarely hold slaughterhouses accountable. Thankfully, Denver voters have a historic opportunity to stop this criminal abuse themselves. Ballot Measure 309 would ban slaughterhouses in the city, closing Superior Farms for good.Would you jump in? #animalrights #mudDirect Action Everywhere - DxE2024-09-26 | ...Playing with a dead leg and laughing about it? #animalrights #animallover #chickenDirect Action Everywhere - DxE2024-09-19 | ...Dogs and cats being eaten? #trump #animalrights #animalloverDirect Action Everywhere - DxE2024-09-12 | ...Born male equals a death sentence. #animalrights #eggsDirect Action Everywhere - DxE2024-08-28 | ...Killed on the first day of life.Direct Action Everywhere - DxE2024-08-23 | ...Shooting, drowning, and poisoning at will. Activists from around the nation showed up in Madison, WI, to shine an even larger spotlight on the local beagle breeding facility that sells beagles for experimentation. Every day during the time when the trial would have taken place, multiple protests and actions occurred.
Monday - The DA was asked to prosecute Ridglan Farms for the documented criminal animal cruelty presented to them.
Tuesday - Vigil at Ridglan Farms to bear witness to the dogs suffering and champion the idea of turning this place into a beautiful dog park instead.
Wednesday - We protested LabCorp, a company known to have purchased beagles from Ridglan Farms to ask them to cut ties with them.
Thursday - Activists marched to the Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection (DATCP). This is the entity that issued the license for Ridglan Farms to be in business so we asked them to revoke their license.
Friday - Protest at JangoBio, another company who has purchased beagles from Ridglan Farms. We asked them to cut ties with the company.
Saturday - For the last day of action, over 100 individuals came together for the Dog Defenders March. Starting with a reunion of dogs who had been rescued from breeding facilities and places of experimentation like Envigo. Together, we marched to the state capital and spoke out against animal experimentation.
This was a week of community bonding and training with the goal of educating the public about what is happening at Ridglan Farms and why animal experimentation is antiquated and even harmful for true scientific progress. Huge thank you to Dane4Dogs for helping make this all happen. Find out more at dxe.io/ridglanDirect Action Everywhere - DxE2024-01-17 | Julie is one of three dogs who were rescued from a life of hell and now, her rescuers are facing felony charges. This March, in Madison, WI, Wayne Hsiung, Paul Darwin Picklesimer, and Eva Hamer will be on trial. Join us by registering at dxe.io/ridglan.
Kept inside a cage under fluorescent lighting for 24 hours a day inside a room with no windows and hundreds of other dogs, Julie went blind and lived in severe distress. When DxE activists found her, Julie was running in circles inside her cage. This is just one of many stereotypic behaviors, called Zoochosis, that animals can develop when kept in captivity. Other behaviors include head rolling, striding, hair or feather pulling, repetitive pacing, swaying, head-bobbing, bar-biting, over-grooming and excessive licking. Thankfully, the activists chose to save Julie. They took her from her prison, got her veterinary care, and found her a loving forever home where she still lives today. Julie will be forever damaged from the trauma that she suffered at Ridglan Farms, one of the country’s largest breeders and suppliers of beagles for biomedical research. For this act of compassion, Wayne, Paul, and Eva are facing up to 16 years in prison. Find out more information about how you can support the #RightToRescue and righttorescue.com/ridglan.

Chickens in the wild lay around 10-15 eggs per year, but we have genetically manipulated them to produce nearly one egg every single day. This massive overproduction leads to horrible health issues such as bone fractures, osteoperosis, and internal organ prolapses. Combined with crowded, often filthy living conditions, hens in the egg industry experience high levels of stress, cannibalisation, inadequate access to food and water, ammonia burns, and even premature horrible deaths. That is if they even live past the first day of their life. Male chicks in the industry are considered “worthless” so they are usually ground up alive in macerators or suffocated in garbage bags. The females are put through the painful process of burning off their beaks to limit the damage they can do to each other when they peck due to boredom, stress, or sheer madness. After only 1 to 2 years, these chickens bodies wear out and are no longer able to produce as many eggs or “quality” eggs so the industry deems them unprofitable and they are killed, either by sending them to slaughter or en mass by carbon dioxide gas inhalation where their lungs turn the gas into carbonic acid and they die, often in great pain. If you really want to help chickens, make a difference by becoming an animal rights activist today.
